Paid room reservation, without confirmation

I have recently made a reservation to the AC Hotel by Marriott Stockholm Ulriksdal for March 25th to 27th.The debit to my credit card was done, but then, the webpage indicated that the room wasn't booked because no more rooms were available.I've called there support line, which goes to an automated script, which was unable to resolve.Tried to send a request to their Contact Us form, without success as well.Lastly sent an email to the customercare[at]guestreservations.com, which I'm still waiting for a response.

Fraudulent and Unethical

Fraudulent and UnethicalGuestReservations.com uses paid search ads to trick people into thinking they're booking with a site like Expedia or Priceline when, in fact, they have no official relationship with any of the hotels they claim to represent and you wouldn't know that without scanning for the disclaimers. The charge more than the hotels do on their own sites and they are 100% unwilling to accept cancelation for any reason, at any time. We clicked on their ad by mistake and thought we were booking a room at a specific hotel we were looking for in one city and they booked us in a hotel by the same name in another city. We called immediately to ask for a cancellation due to an error—made in the midst of trying to book last-minute travel for a family emergency—and they refused, telling us we should have read that they have a no refund policy and should not expect them to provide one, even under these circumstances. Plus, there is NO WAY they have 5-star reviews from all their customers like they claim in their own promotions and on their own site.

Scam website - should be taken offline

I noticed as I was being charged for the booking that they added a 40% markup on top of the reservation, at that stage it was too late to stop the transaction. They have not send me a confirmation email and offer no way of contacting them without it so I cannot cancel my booking or even speak to them about the reservation.

It is not the website of the hotel

I really thought that I was making a reservation at the hotel website. I opted for a refundable reservation but it was only after I paid with a credit card, that the real price was quoted with taxes, amounting to twice the price that I would have paid with Booking. They did not send me any e mail with a reservation number and a confirmation code. So when I wanted to cancel I could not do it by myself on their website and it was not easy to speak with an agent either. In order to speak to an agent at their call center , I had to pretend to make a new reservation, credit card at hand. The only accepted language is English. I have received a full reimbursement for my canceled reservation after a few days from my cancelation request.

Fraud

Booking on the website indicated was not the final invoice. It was tripled by the time I paid. For Example, on the Website, for the duration of my stay it stated ?222 (3 nights). And when I clicked on Book Now, the next page was to enter my details and submit. Next thing I get is a confirmation email for ?661.85.This was nowhere indicated on the website at time of booking. When I called customer service, they said that the increase of cost was due to taxes, and they broke down multiple taxes that I was being charged for which was not indicated or mentioned on their websites. This is false advertisement and misleading and should not be allowed to do this.Update: I have reached out to Guest Reservations as per their response to my review, and have had no response. Thus making me think they are scammers. I have since then reported my incident to the crimes unit and this company has been flagged up as fraudulent. My case is now under investigation. I have yet to hear from GuestReservations.comI have fallen victim of a fraud. Please be aware of that and they should not be trusted. If you are also a victim please raise this to stop this company from inflicting their schemes on anyone else. They must be stopped.

This is a fraudulent company

This is a fraudulent company. They more or less copy past independent hotel websites, pretend you are booking with the hotel directly without booking fees. Then proceed to charge you the agreed amount plus insane amount of "hidden" fees (they will claim its taxes, resort fees). The hotel does get paid, and the room booked. But they get paid about 40% less then was agreed through Guest Reservations. I have made a fraud case with google as well. As this website will feature above the actual website of the hotel, but without luck. Do not trust any website that ends on .guestreservations.com !

Guest Reservations took THOUSANDS of dollars

I mistakenly believed i was on the hotel site. Their website is intentionally deceptive- then i was charged $1600 A NIGHT for a standard room at a Hyatt hotel. The full price is not reflected until it’s too late and they included a thousand dollars in fees. FOUR THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS for two nights in standard Hyatt and to top off they only booked me one night at the hotel. (I spoke directly with Hyatt and have the confirmation) It’s absolutely mind boggling. They continue to give me a customer service run around. And the customer service email comes from an @priceline.com email, so Priceline is involved and participating in this unethical practice. So I’m out THOUSANDS of dollars because of this deceptive unethical and downright evil company. I was told today there was ‘no need to keep calling them’ NO NEED??? They charged me two months mortgage for a Hyatt hotel room in Florida. The Ritz Carlton with a meal plan is cheaper.

Misleading website and unauthorized charge

Worst experience. I thought I was making a booking directly with the Holiday Inn hotel. I made the booking and then realised it was with Guest Reservations. This absolutely was not made clear to me. The website was a close copy of the Holiday Inn website layout, it appeared as the first sponsored search when I looked for a speciifc Holiday Inn hotel in Berlin. It also had a lot of hidden fees which were not advertised and once shown at the checkout, I cancelled the request. The payment was deducted even though I rejected the approval which is unacceptable. I will be reporting this to the official government and on social media. I am unable to cancel or exercise my rights as a EU consumer. Very unhappy, do not use this site and be very careful when searching and booking hotels.

I have just been scammed by Guest

I have just been scammed by Guest Reservations. I booked a room in Helsinki last evening and did not notice that it was through Guest Reservations. I had researched the hotel earlier and the web interface was identical to that of the hotel. I booked my room, and my credit card was charged $1537.34. But I never received a confirmation and I have no idea whether they contacted the hotel. I have written the hotel and contacted my credit card company. BEWARE
