I made a reservation for two single rooms for one night in Z'?rich. The total price quoted for these two rooms was 377 €. When confirming the booking the price they wanted to charge was 1.044 € !!!! I fortunately noticed this fraud before authorising payment by credit card.
This site portrays itself as the actual hotel you are trying to book, and then adds on hidden fees that are not easily visible in your receipt. I was booking two hotel rooms, for four days, and the overall cost should have been around 980. They added on 443$ in hidden fees, almost half of the cost of the overall stay! incredibly shady business operations. I called immediately after I realized this, and was able to at least confirm that my reservation had made it through to the hotel, but the extra $443 is insanity. Their call center experience was frustrating and i have not yet been able to get a partial refund for the hidden fees. I am going to keep trying, but I do NOT recommend this scammy site to anyone!
I made an IHG hotel reservation through a third party who call themselves “Guest Reservations” for dates 6/26 - 6/30. When I booked, I chose the ‘pre-pay’ option because it was slightly lower cost. I did not realize, nor did they make it clear until after booking, that it was 'nonrefundable'. Additionally, Guest Reservations clearly intend to deceive customers by appearing to be the hotel website, which is what I thought when I booked.Fast forward a couple months and my travel plans changed. The email confirmation said to call x number if I need to make any modifications. But when I called and explained that I will only be staying for two nights instead of the original four, they told me that they cannot make any modifications and that my only option was to cancel my reservation WITHOUT a refund, and then rebook with the correct dates. What?? They told me there was nothing else they could do for me, and that I’d have to reach out to the hotel to change my reservation and to get a refund because Guest reservations had “already sent the money to the hotel” - that is a QUOTE from the person I spoke to.I called IHG, and the person I spoke to was was able to resolve the issue, so I thought at first, by calling Guest Reservations and asking them to cancel my original reservation and refund me the full amount. They agreed to do this (according to the IHG person I was speaking to). IHG rebooked me for the correct dates. in the meantime, 6/28–6/30.The issue is that Guest Reservations never actually cancelled my original reservation, nor did they refund me the $1600+ that was promised. When I called IHG they told me Guest Reservations is the only one who can refund me the money. So Guest Reservations lied to me, saying the hotel would have to refund me. Then they lied to IHG, saying they would cancel and refund me.This is a terrible business model and they make their money by deceiving customers, and then lying to them when any changes are needed.
What happened I booked a room mercure Bangkok ,I thougt I was on the original site .. then when i saw the price almost double from 160/260 i canceled the booking in my creditcard app but i was still charge .. So I thougt you know what i cancel the room .. the next day ..i contact them ,explain the problem ..they told me I cannot cancel the room (250room)why I do not understand because they promoted free canceling then I explain that the money was taken from my account while I not accept the payment .. they say they cannot help me ..For me this is fraud I contact my creditcard company and i hope that people read this and understand that this is a fraud company o yes everytime they told me we have to talk to our partner ,what partner i booked the hotel on you’re site D.Zinhagel
This website is a complete rip-off. I was charged even after I cancelled the transaction before final confirmation—just after entering my card details. The moment they get your info, it seems like they intentionally trap you. This is a manipulative and deceptive booking system designed to take your money whether you complete the booking or not.On top of that, their prices are significantly inflated compared to the actual hotel rates—massive hidden fees and unjustifiable markups. There’s zero transparency when it comes to pricing, and they make it deliberately confusing to spot the real cost until it's too late.To make matters worse, customer service is non-existent. Good luck trying to get in touch with a real person or get a refund. I wasted hours trying to resolve the issue and am still chasing my money back.Do yourself a favor: DO NOT use GuestReservations.com. It’s not worth the headache, frustration, or the risk of losing your money. Book directly with the hotel or use a reputable platform instead.
Practicing borderline thievery and abusing trust through booking process and site design, in a most likely wanted way. It starts with paid referencing and a lading page mimicking the legit hotel page like: www NameOfTheHotel/Guest reservations/ .so it looks like you are on the Booking page of the given hotel, just that it may "not be phone optimized”Showing daily rates at the decision process then not until the validation process. Where you see changed rates + outrageous added fees I booked a single Room showing 98 CHF/nightand saw 200/Night in USD!!! + more than 156 USD agency fees once you press validation it was too late to cancel. the paiement perception stayed pending for what seems to be all or almost all retraction period. Booking confirmation comes from a different named group called hotelvalues dot com a site known for similar practices.Customer service showing a USA phone number regardless of your location. I can’t believe such site is still allowed. will most likely flag this to consumer groups and ask to register a fraud with authorities.
Advertising with attractive deals but charging you in the end outrageous amounts for a booking. And yes, they mention the extra charges, but only if you read the full policy. Furthermore cancellation fees are totally off balance. Its a crooked organisation that shouts 'Im gonna scam you' all over it.
Caution! This is a scam company! They give the impression of ordering through the official hotel web site, but it isn't. The nightly rate is the same as the official hotel site but then they add close to 30% as a service charge which is not advertised. I contacted the hotel and they are aware of this imitation company but cannot do anything. All bookings through this company are apparently non-refundable and their 'customer service' don't care. Don't order from this website! As I can't respond to their reply directly - their response highlights that they know they imitate the hotel's direct website, they know that no one would book with them if they were clear and up front, their business model is built on deception highlighted by the lack of cancellation policy.
Very bad experience. Booked a room and was subsequently asked to share my credit card details, which I did. Then found out the room wasn't booked and got a two sentence message informing me that the place was fully booked without any compassion, let alone a solution.
This company wrote on this site stating they want to resolve the matter with me- but they have done nothing but stick to the no refund line they are con merchants of the very worst kind that pretend to be a travel agent but are in fact con artists nothing but
