They might not be a scam but they are solely interested in making money.I am a UK citizen living in the UK.Like others on here, I booked through GR believing I was making a reservation directly on the Travelodge website.When the confirmation came through I had ?35 of charges added to my ?63 bill.I politely requested they cancel the booking and refund me because I had clearly made a mistake.They considered the case and refused, stating "Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to continue our partnership in the future."Whaaattt! You can be sure that not on ly will I never go near them again but I will also post my experience wherever I can.

This company is a scam: STAY AWAY AT ALL COST

This company is a scam: the advertised prize is not what is withdrawn, and the money was drawn without the mandatory code+text confirmation. I spend an hour waiting for their 'customer service' without ever reaching a person who could help, despite "free cancellation" policy.I never received an email confirmation so I only know my reservation number because I took a screenshot of the confirmation page. I have written my bank to try and stop the money transfer, this is a fraud.

I thought I was booking directly with

I thought I was booking directly with the hotel because they used the hotel name in their url, I am a Wyndham member and called to confirm my reservation and they didn’t have one in my name! I contacted “Guest Reservations “ and when they finally got back to me they said sometimes it takes 72 hours for it to show up! So on the day I was scheduled to check in, they still didn’t have a reservation in my name! So I respectfully asked to cancel this reservation as they had already taken my money out and I booked another reservation at a different hotel! After DAYS later they sent me an email saying that I would not receive my refund for my reservation! Seriously! This sight is a SCAM!

Deceptive Practices

I asked explicitly and repeatedly regarding resort fees when I made my booking and was reassured by the agent that there were no additional fees - the price I paid was the final price other than incidentals. Check in to the resort and am charged $170/room of resort fees. The prices are misleading and so is the way they lure customers to book with them. Would not recommend.

Scam website

Scam website. This hotel fakes the url of the hotel so that it appears like the hotel's official website. They then charge massive hidden fees that I didn't see until booking. Even though I tried to get my money back immediately afterwards, they refused to refund it without keeping most of the money. They claim they need the hotel to approve the refund and that they called the hotel to get approval. But I called the hotel and they had not received a call from them. They just made this up. I cannot get the charge to not go through. My credit card company will file a fraudulent dispute once the charge goes through though so I will be refunded one way or another.

I thought I was booking through the

I thought I was booking through the hotel's own website but when I realized I was charged €50 service charge I tried to cancel but too late. You lose your full amount of you cancel. Scamsters, avoid.

Refund was not processed as stated by the website

The Guest Reservations website misleads customers and is built in such a way that consumers think they are booking directly with the hotel. That was what hapenned to me, thought I was booking with the hotel and only afterwards noticed it was not. I have cancelled the reservation half an hour afterwards and received an email stating that a refund has been processed to the credit card but when I check the activity of the card only the debit is there.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE:

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE:Recently made a booking and was booked twice, hotel cannot cancel the second booking told me to contact guest reservations directly. The email I have from guest reservations, does not have a booking reference. The booking reference the hotel has given me does not start with R or 7 so when I ring Guest Reservation automated phone number it will not process the cancellation for me. I have emailed guestreservations.com and my email is getting a delivery error. It appears that Guest Reservations are double booking, taking their booking fee twice and making it impossible to cancel reservation. I will be happy to change my review if this is not the case, but as it stands right now I have none of the advertised contact methods to cancel the booking are working.Mark O'C

From bad to worse

This has gone from bad to worse. I cancelled my reservation on line and received an on-line confirmation that the reservation had been cancelled. However, it is two weeks later and the hotel has still not received confirmation of the cancellation. I tried to call Guest Reservations and if you do not say you want to make a new reservation then you get get put onto Customer Service. I spent 1.5 hours in the afternoon on hold and they never answered at which point I gave up. I called again and said I wanted to make a new reservation and was immediately put through (!) After explaining the situation I was transferred back to Customer Service and back on hold. I did this twice but the last step is always being transferred back to being on hold despite promises that someone would help. I tried asking to be put through to a supervisor and was told I would be, but guess where I was transferred to: Customer Service again !!!!And just to rub salt in the wound I recently received an email responding to my initial review asking me to call - guess what? Yes, Customer Service - aaaaaargh!This is a terrible company to deal with - I strongly advise if you are reading this PLEASE do not use this company - always book directly with the hotel or with a site you are familiar with such as expedia, booking.com etc. My advice from experience is to avoid Guest Reservations if you want to preserve your sanity and the contents of your wallet.

I booked a hotel through Guest

I booked a hotel through Guest Reservations and encountered an unacceptable situation: I was charged 50% more than the price shown, without any prior notice. It is unacceptable that such essential information is hidden, violating consumer rights as outlined in European regulations (Directive 2011/83/EU and 2005/29/EC). I expected transparency and fairness.
