I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Guest Reservation. I booked a hotel through their platform for $300, only to discover they had secretly added a $100 fee on top — that’s a 33% markup, which was not clearly disclosed upfront. Completely unacceptable.Worse yet, when I cancelled well before the advertised deadline, which clearly stated I was eligible for a full refund, they unfairly retained $40 from my payment. I followed all the rules and cancelled in time, but they still kept a portion of my money without justification.Their refund policy is misleading, and their business practices are deceptive. I strongly advise others to stay away from Guest Reservation. There are plenty of legitimate booking platforms out there.
A very misleading website; advertising the same rates as going to the hotel directly and then adding ?95 worth of taxes and fees at checkout. Payment deducted from my credit card even though I cancelled the sale before confirming with my bank that it was genuine. I have raised a dispute directly, and with credit card company.Please make sure you search for the correct website for the hotel you want to book rather than the 'sponsored' sites pretending to be the hotel.
This is a deceitful and unhelpful company. Firstly their web address deceitfully appears to be a direct link to the hotel itself - it wasn't. Secondly the price they first quote is not the full price - I noticed when my credit card sought verification on their app I that they had added an extra ?102.40, so I declined the transaction, however it still went ahead anyway.Thirdly I tried immediately contacting them about this twice through your website and was twice told I would get a response within 24 hours – no responses ever came.Finally when I contacted the hotel today they told me that the room had been booked through Booking.com - which I did not use. However the hotel had sent a message to say that the hotel was closed that week but they had booked me into another and was I OK with that. I never received this message because it went to Booking.com and Guest reservations did not forward it to me. So not only was I not getting what I had booked, but it also would have led me to arrive at completely the wrong location. Unresponsive, unhelpful and deceitful company which steals your money.
Absolute Scam. They piggybacked off a hotel I was trying to book with giving the impression I was directly with the hotel. When the price was confirmed suddenly an amount appeared which was nearly double the actual room price (with no warning). I took a screen shot which showed a booking reference beginning with R. When trying to cancel an automated service refused to cancel. Then I realized i had to leave thr R out. The message said enter the booking number starting with R but they meant without the R (basically a trick of words designed to confuse). I got my credit card company involved just in case. No email was ever received confirming the booking nor the cancellation. These people are scammers and the site is to be avoided at all costs.
I have booked accommodation online and have not received a confirmation email although the charges are pending on my bank account. I have tried to call customer service but cannot get through! There is no other way to contact this company!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - they mimic the hotel's website and charge you in full for your stay. Then if you make any changes to your reservation with the hotel they will not refund you for the unused nights. THIS IS A SCAM - double-check your booking directly with the hotels.
I booked with this website and the call centre does not work. They have taken a service charge of ?70 off of me for nothing and does it not express that in the booking fee? Do not book with this company as I do not know how to get a refund. As they don’t seem to answer.
