I got a price for a hotel room, and after I put in the creditcard details, the price had gone up a whole lot. If this is a service charge it is unreasonably high. Most important of all - we did not receive a confirmation. Do not use this website!
Giving us a valid number to call Support would be a great start! But I guess they don't want all their deceived customers calling to complain, so make it impossible.This is the worst travel company I have ever had to deal with. The actual costs were considerably higher than what's advertised on their site and they pretend to be what they're not (read the fine print!). Bookings are non-refundable. But my real complaint is about their lack of Customer Service. Multiple attempts to call the number they provided for Customer Service / Help / Support (both local numbers and a range of different USA numbers) all sent me to the same call centre. Regardless of the options I selected, the choices always came down to: place a new booking, or go into a loop of listening to messages telling you to call your hotel directly. No other contact information, no interest in actually serving their customers.How sad that their parent company, Booking Holdings, states it gets "The Right Results. The Right Way", and that all its affiliates and suppliers pride themselves on Absolute Integrity. Stay well away from this company. They do not understand the meaning of integrity.----UPDATE: 11 MarchThank you to the Guest Reservations team for following up on my complaint and refunding my booking. While the initial experience was not good, and I would have valued being able to speak to an actual person, your responsiveness is highly appreciated.
I thought that I was making a reservation at the hotel website. I opted for a refundable reservation, but it was only after I paid with a credit card, that the real price was shown. Five days later, I called to cancel. They had no record of my name, confirmation number, or credit card. I was put on hold for an hour and then disconnected. I am now disputing these charges with my bank! Update- as I type this, I just received an email from guest services. They now have suddenly located my reservation, but the dates are incorrect and they want to charge $497 to cancel despite the fact that I opted for the refundable room!
If I could leave negative stars I would.Do not use this website. They make it look like you are booking directly through the property only to find out once you have paid that it’s a third party site. The price stated looks like it’s for the entire stay yet when you pay it’s per night. They then add on additional taxes and fees that we don’t have in Australia, so if you are coming to Australia DO NOT book through this site. Either book through the property itself (which I thought I was doing) or a reputable site like Bookings.comIt is impossible to contact anyone to speak to the phone number in Australia doesn’t connect it you request to speak to an agent and there is no email address to lodge a refund request.
If I could I would give less then one star this is a scam!!!Searched, found a hotel to a decent cost including breakfast (Ambassador Chicago), pays and right there and then they slap on another 30% in fees $135 became $197.When I arrive at the hotel they tell me that with this company there is a “special treat”, breakfast (!!!??) and two drinks for another $150 ! Hotel telling me that the company should have informed me..!?Avoid!!!
I cancelled my reservation 8 hours after payment (Cancellation Number: C5461633667). The payment was processed anyway even though I declined verification through my bank. They don't respond to emails I would like a full refund!On March 4th, I received my money back after writing to them several times. I am grateful for this, despite the delay.
