I thought that I was making a reservation at the hotel website. I opted for a refundable reservation, but it was only after I paid with a credit card, that the real price was shown. Five days later, I called to cancel. They had no record of my name, confirmation number, or credit card. I was put on hold for an hour and then disconnected. I am now disputing these charges with my bank! Update- as I type this, I just received an email from guest services. They now have suddenly located my reservation, but the dates are incorrect and they want to charge $497 to cancel despite the fact that I opted for the refundable room!
