I rejected the 3DS authorization for the payment, after seeing i would be charged an extra 40 euros of hidden taxes, but they charged my card anyway.Been trying to contact them for days but got no answer so far.Avoid this site.

Scam

On 11 May, I attempted to make a booking at the Connemara Lake Hotel in Ireland and inadvertently did so via the website. I booked a two night stay on 15 and 16 August next. In booking, the website never confirmed my booking and I was sent no confirmation email either. In addition my bank placed a security hold on my card after I was charged €582, well in excess of the amount shown on the website and the amount charged by the hotel directly (€400). I contacted the hotel the next day to find no booking directly in my name. Eventually a booking was discovered via booking.com. I asked the hotel to cancel this booking and they obliged on 13 May.I have queried a refund and had no success to date.

booked for one night and saw afterwards the enormous extra fee.....OMG more than 50 procent raise....that is not normal and not how you make a good deal from 2 sides. I want my money back!!!

Is this real or a scam????

We have booked a room via "guest reservations". It looked like we were booking on the hotel site. We have received an email that our reservation was confirmed. An amount of US$ 272 has been paid by Amex. However the hotel didn't have the reservation and we had to pay the hotel again for the night. It looks like "guest reservations" is a scam. I made a complaint on the site of "quest reservations" and wait for their comment.

Guest Reservations - Buyer Beware - watch for the tax and service fees

Unfortunately I fell for this site thinking I was on crowne plaza in Birmingham nec. Made a booking for a price under the room which was reasonable, then on check out the price increased, I contacted Customer Service. Since writing this review, I've edited it, Guest Reservations has kindly refunded my payment on a non refundable room. I've increased from 1 star to 2 stars. It hasn't been an easy journey but an eye opener on what your paying for. Beware of added taxes and service charges, The real hotel couldn't understand why I was being charged more than what the real hotel was charging. Thank you for the refund, but I will be very reluctant to use this site again. Too much stress over a booking. And while you say your charges are clearly visible , I did not see this until it was too late. If you what better reviews, please enter the actual cost per night under the room selected like most websites. Not have a lower price thinking your getting a good deal.

Scam - illegal access of credit card

Scam - booking that had a hidden fees of over €200, over 20 minutes in hold - likely a scam website money taken when banking app authorisation was rejected when we finally seen full price. Still payment taken fraudulently needing to be disrupted with credit card provider

This is a deliberately misleading set up.Today I booked a room at DoubleTree By Hilton Glasgow via website doubletreeglasgow.guestreservationsIt turns out that this website has nothing whatsoever to do with the hotel or the Hilton group but is ran by guestresevrations.comBy the end of the booking there has been fees added for admin and tax reclaim that make no sense and made the reservation far more expensive than it should have been and the booking is not cancelable and has no refund facility.I have emailed customer support and await a reply.

Shady practices and unauthorized credit card chargeAvoid this company at all costs.I tried to book a hotel room through what I believed was the hotel’s own website in order to support them directly. The price suddenly turned out to be much higher (almost twice the price!) than what was shown on Booking.com. When I saw the inflated rate, I refused to authorize the payment via my credit card’s secure process (no 2-factor authentication, no confirmation via my phone).Despite that, they charged my card anyway – without my consent.This is not just unethical, it’s a clear violation of secure payment regulations (PSD2 and Mastercard standards). I had to open a dispute through Mastercard to get my money back. Fortunately, I won – but the process was a massive headache. I now have to request a new credit card and go through the hassle of updating all my payment details elsewhere.Yes, I got my money back, and yes, I was right – but at what cost?This company’s approach to customer consent and payments is deeply questionable, and I strongly advise anyone reading this: stay away. Save yourself the stress, time, and frustration.Always double-check where you’re booking. The reservation went through even I

The reservation went through even I didn’t confirm/complete the reservation. When I saw the additional fees I stopped the making the reservation and they charged my credit card without promission. And of course can’t contact the customer service. And no confirmation in email.

Stop! Be careful!

Be careful! If you book over "Guest Reservations" the taxes and service charges are much higher as if you book directly over the hotel homepage or booking. My hotel booking in Switzerland costs not SFr. 420.00 (USD 476.65), but USD 657.00 - so you see, huge difference for which services??
