Avoid this website! My wife booked a room through this website not noticing the inflated fees and terrible cancellation policy. We're several days away from using our reservation and we just missed the full refund cancellation cutoff. The hotel itself still has zero cancellation fee at this time, but this website charges nearly the entire cost of the room and fees! A customer service rep for the website said we can cancel, send a statement from the hotel and we MIGHT get the full refund. Booking directly with the hotel right now is way cheaper. But, I'm afraid to cancel this website's reservation and HOPE for a refund. I highly recommend staying away from this site and booking directly with hotel, or through a more legitimate 3rd party website!!!
As with most other people on who have fallen victim to this company, I too was under the impression that I was booking direct through the hotel. After discovering the 'taxes' (which amounted to almost the cost of the room), I cancelled the booking. Despite receiving an email stating that the full amount would be refunded, I contacted Guest Reservations direct who confirmed I would receive a refund in 5-7 days.Not unusual; however the email contained the phrase 'Any attempt to lodge a dispute with the bank will result in any refund becoming null and void'.Looks like they're well aware of their deceptive conduct and try to use fear to prevent any follow-up.Let's see if the refund actually comes through...
I booked a hotel thinking it was the actual hotel site, but was guest reservations. I was told at the time of booking which was late December that it was fully refundable. In January, I had to cancel the reservation and they told me there was a 35% charge for cancelling! I have been calling them multiple times since January 25th and still have not gotten my refund!! It was promised that after 10 business days it would be refunded!! Today is day 11 and still no refund! Very disappointed and would not recommend booking with them ever!!
I have never in my life ever felt so cheated. I booked a long time ago 2 nights at Hotel Anfield through Guest Reservations.There was a price that amounted to what is about 64 Pounds pr night.At the end when I was to use my credit card the price had changed and i didnt notice. It was changed to US dollars and now the price was over 1200 dollars in total. And it was NON refundable.I reported this and they did give around 200 dollars back.Now we have come home from the hotel. And this was one of the worst hotel trips I have ever had. a 1000 dollars for 2 nights at a hotel which had no services. No breakfast etc.It wasn't clean when we got there. And also checked the price directly from the hotel which was 64british pounds pr night.Never buy anything from this site. They will steal your money and write it off as sudden service taxes.
Site mimics hotel sites. Booking made but no reservation received. Charged €80 more than price advertised. No mention of extra fees on site. I tried to cancel and eventually was connected to a useless customer service agent in the US. The customer service number has an automated section that is very difficult to get past. I would recommend avoiding this site at all costs.
Clicked on a price for Embassy Suites indicating I was getting the room for $115. Before paying they offered $25 discount for creating account where I recieved a promo code. After applying the code and hitting pay now it charged my card $185.00. I called company and was left on hold after speaking to a manager who never spoke to me on the phone. When Representative came back on the phone, she offered me an $11 discount. I never was presented with an itemized break down of my transaction indicating the charge was going from $115 to $185 after a $25 discount was applied. This company showed no concern about the Rug Pull!!!
Had the same price as on booking/direct website offered.During the payment process (providing card informations) there was a small text before confirming, stating that there is a different price as previously stated cause of taxes etc..So if you don’t read carefully you feel pretty much as scammed as I am as soon as you see the way higher amount at the payment confirmation. Cannot recommend this platform at all.. better book somewhere else
I booked a h'?tel room for an price of 63€ , and after giving my billing information and paying, i did receive a confirmation booking email, telling me a price of 88€ , including 25€ of taxes and fees... I did came back to the website and i understood... At the end of the billing information, in the smallest letters possible... The tell you the upper price ... This is not the right way to charge fees and taxes if they are normal...The hotel dont understand witch taxes it is. Because the VIT taxes are included un th'? 63€ price and the city taxes , i had to pay it extra at m'y check in . So this is clearly a process like SCAM. The h'?tel is shameful of providers like Guestreservations.comI Hope the managers of this website will react and contact me to solve this situation , because at phone , the lady i had just hang on on me ...
I was looking to make a reservation I have only noticed all the hidden fees once I was at the payment page (double the price they do not tell you before) so I did NOT authorize the payment and booked with another site. Regardless I got an email saying that my booking was confirmed WITHOUT A BOOKING NUMBER and the money had been deducted!!! I could not log in into the reservation to cancel it as I did not have the number and the recorded voice on the phone only connects you to someone after typing the booking number. AFTER HOURS I managed to talk to someone who put me on hold for one hour and then hung up. WORSE SCAM AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER; I hope to get my money back somehow or I might sue as I have never even authorized the payment.
