I recently stayed at the Hotel Royal Continental in Naples, Italy for some odd reason when I booked my hotel. I was charged and booked for TWO rooms yet I only received a confirmation email from Guest reservations regarding one booking. Only when I checked into the hotel was I informed of two bookings by hotel staff and I was told to contact Guest reservations regarding a refund. It has been close to a week and after reaching out I keep being told to wait while they are contacting the “hotel partner” and no update besides that. This is extremely frustrating and not to mention I was charged an additional guest services fee. Hidden fees and poor customer support, this is clearly mistake on the system and it’s ridiculous I have to wait this long.
This is a scam. They fake the hotel website, show low prices and then when you check out almost double the price with fake taxes and switch the currency to USD. They booked the cost on my card despite my declining the approval. I have submitted this to the card issuer for charge back.If you try to cancel you lose the reservation and the money. Guest reservations cannot be reached.Avoid at ALL costs!
Booked a hotel in Bergen.Room advertised for 185 euro including breakfast. When I put in my credit card details the price jumped to 262 euro. The extra 77 was supposedly for taxes , cleaning and their charges. I tried to cancel out of the site but it went ahead and charged my card. DONT USE THEM THEY SNEAKILY ADD ON ADDITIONAL CHARGES.
Following my review below of 30 May, we received a full refund of our payment yesterday so I have upgraded my rating to 3 stars. However, I would still advise people not to book through this company.Previous Post: My wife booked a night in a hotel with them this morning with free cancellation included in the booking. After making the booking, we noticed a massive increase (c50%) in the booking price for”service fees/taxes” and the money was taken from our account immediately. We received no confirmation email from them with the reservation number and details of the booking. My wife has now emailed their customer care and has requested a full refund and we await the response from them. I will revisit my review depending on the outcome. If we do not receive the full refund, I would find this totally unacceptable and we will be elevating our response to ensure we get it.P.S. I have now looked at the Trustpilot reviews of them and notice their meaningless automated reviews to many refund requests. Beware.
I tried to book a Hotel in Berlin for two nights. However the websites functions in way that a better price offer changes the terms without mqking you aware of the changes, in my case the dates were changed (1 day backward ) and the cancellation police altered. Instead of of notifying me of this changes a popp up Windows told me: book now, just 1 room left at this price. When I received the booking confirmation with the wrong dates I cancelled immidietely within Minutes and requested a booking for the correct date. Of course this was refused, neither refund or rebooking. Conclusion: a website to ribb you off
Under no circumstances use this website to book your hotels. Their fee is absolutely extortionate. It is a legal scam basically. They come up first on the search engine and with my husband also being severely sight impared it was impossible for him to tell he wasnt actually on the hotel website. It was only after being charged 50% more of the actual hotel rate in fees that he realised his mistake. By this time it is too late as they will keep your money if you cancel your reservation. We have tried contacting them on the phone to no avail. Hoping against hope they will respond to our email with the full refund and cancellation of this absurd booking.
Awful experience, went onto booking.com to book hotel. Guest reservation.com popped up with cheaper cost, thought it was direct from hotel, filled out our details, and credit card details but when I went to pay the ?340 as on the invoice we got authority request from our credit card with authorisation number but stated ?609! I immediately closed the window as didn’t want to proceed, however a few mins later we had a email confirming payment and booking confirmed! Without us putting in authorisation code! Immediately tried to contact the company who said the extra was an admin fee! Nearly as much as the hotel! And that there was a no cancellation policy! Spoke to hotel who confirmed booking was there so not a scam in that way but hidden costs and taking money when not authorised, credit card think they may be watching when you put card details in and even without authorisation they took the cash!! Currently being investigated by our credit card company but avoid at all cost.
Like other reviews on here my payment was taken before I confirmed the transaction. The price charged was double what I was expecting to pay. Trying to cancel is a joke as you need an itinerary number, but no email so have no idea what that is. My room is booked and the money has been taken by my credit card company, though I need to check to make sure the hotel has been paid.I will stick with Booking.com in future where all costs are presented.
SCAM SCAM SCAM, i clickd on an AD, said 250 euro for a hotel, i clicked on the offer, put all my card details and in term and condition it says in small there is an extra 120usd of Fee to this reservation ( there is no idication of that anywere before, you’re checking out to a 250 but by accepting term and condition you accept an additional 120 usd of FEES. NEVER SEEN SUCH A SCAM, how is that even LEGAL ?!?!!
