This site misrepresents the cost of a hotel booking. It advertises lower hotel rates than the legitimate booking websites. When you book a room the rate advertised jumps about 50% higher. You never receive your booking reference number by email which means you cannot cancel the booking. Their customer service does not work as they do not allow you to correctly enter your details.
Update:I contacted the costumer care, and they give me back the 243$. And I also received the confirmation of the hotel. I changed from 1 star to 4 star. This is a scam! I though I order on the hotel web site, but it wasn't. It was written that I will pay for the hotel 557$ but when I paid they charged me 800$!! I didn't receive any email confirmation, the hotel isn't aware of such reservation. I emailed the customer care, no one answered! Don't order from this website
DONT BOOK HERE Looks exactly like hotel website, but completely non transparant about addition fees. Price listed for the room is not the same as charged to credit card. For me, they charged around 50€ in hidden fees, not clear when booking at all. Customer care completely useless, not helpful at all. Only offer small refund
THIS IS A SCAM !!! BE CAREFUL DON'T USE !!! IT SHOWS UP WHEN YOU TRY TO BOOK DIRECTLY AT THE HOTEL'S WEBSITE.. AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE IF THEY HAD DELIVERED AS SAID I WOULD KEEP USING THE SITE FOR BOOKINGS.. BUT THEY TELL YOU A RATE ON THE SITE AND THEN CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD DOBLE THE RATE..!!! I GOT A CONFIRMATION E-MAIL WITH NO CONFIRMATION NUMBER OR CODE AND WHEN I TRIED TO CONTACT THEM REGARDING THE OVERCHARGE AND THE REFUND I WAS REQUESTING THERE WAS NO WAY BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE A CODE OR RESERVATION NUMBER. THE HOTEL WAS ALSO VERY SURPRISED WHEN I TOLD THEM REGARDING THE PRICE THEY HAD CHARGED ON MY CARD AND WERE THE ONES THAT INFORMED ME THIS WAS AN EXTERNAL COMPANY I HAD MADE THE RESERVATION UNDER. BE VERY CAREFUL IT POPS UP WHEN YOU TRY TO BOOK DIRECTLY WITH THE HOTEL.. Date of experience: MAY 25, 2025
Awful people. As others have said, close to a fraud in the way charges (roughly doubling the stay cost) are added right at the last click. We cancelled our booking in February. It’s now April and still no promised refund. Only use if desperate. UPDATE : Scam company have just responded - but only to this TrustPilot comment, and not to the emails sent to them. And they have still not refunded the booking amount that they took in October 2024 (six months ago). Untrustworthy, and uncontactable.
This is a classic scam of a company. if you see them - run away! Otherwise you risk of paying 50-100% more than what you saw on the reservation page for your accommodation. It is a absolutely astonishing that no consumer protection agency is dealing with these scammers. They trick you with the deign of a page to make you believe you are at the hotel’s own reservation page - beware you’re not! You see price per night - that looks reasonable or attractive and you never see the total sum to be charged or those junk fees they add up before you click the pay button - once you click pay - all of a sudden you realize that you’ve been charged a total sum that is significantly more than the price per night that you saw on the reservation page. Upon booking, I did not receive the booking number or invoice - all of this is designed so that it makes it difficult for you to realize what has happened and why were you charged so much. When you try to call them - it is difficult to bypass the automated messaging system - but once you manage to speak with the real person - they put you on hold, pretending to be “checking your reservation” and keep you on hold for more than 30min - they do that deliberately so that you just give up. I spent an hour on the phone from two attempts with their “customer service” - they just repeat the same script - and the operators there know they are working for a company that tricks people paying junk fees on top of actual hotel room cost. Look it up on YouTube and google - massive number of people complaining about how they operate. From outside looks like a legit company - but it’s all to trick you - don’t fall for it. Remember - NEVER EVER book with them!
Attention attention!!! NE VOUS FAITES PAS AVOIR !!!Be careful!!! BIG SCAM - DO NOT BOOK!I wanted to book a room directly on the hotel site. When paying, the amount comes in USD under company GuestReservations in the US. I refused the payment. Another payment request without security code was then sent and the payment went through! (this point was confirmed to me by my credit card which I immediately called). In addition, GuestReservation charges an additional CHF 450 in the process!!!! They don't want to refund, claiming that the hotel refuses to credit back. I called the hotel and they refuse to refund saying that the reservation was firm with no possibility of cancellation. These people, both the hotel and GuestReservation are extremely dishonnest. I have NEVER seen this.DON'T BE FOOLED!!!
I strongly recommend avoiding GuestReservations.com and ReservationsStays.com. These websites mislead customers into believing they are booking directly with hotels when that is not the case. They use hotel names in their URLs and run Google Ads designed to resemble official hotel websites. Not only do they impose excessive booking fees, but they also create confusion for guests who think they are dealing directly with the hotel. Many frustrated customers end up contacting hotels for refunds, only to discover that their bookings were made through a third party with unfair policies.Such deceptive practices undermine trust in the hospitality industry. To avoid unnecessary fees and booking headaches, always book directly with the hotel or through reputable travel platforms.
Booked a room through guest reservations, called the next day after a horrific experience at the place I booked. I asked the girl to call me back and help me find other accommodations. She never returned my call but sent an email saying she couldn’t call me back because she was too busy! I couldn’t even get a refund for the night I left a bed bug and roach infested room!
