Ordered a gift on 6th June. Contacted the company twice to follow up why it hadnt been delivered 2 weeks later. No response. Had to pursue through my bank. I would advise anyone not to purchase through this company. If you can't fulfil orders or communicate with customers, hang up your coat and make money some other way. Absolutely hopeless.
We have ordered 5 red robin hedges supposed over 1 metre in height they where not looked half dead but have suprised us and are very slowly with a lot of time and tlc are coming back to life! We also ordered 18 orange rose trees, these arrived in an appalling state, so emailed GE and to my surprise had a reply straight away, and agreed these where not in any fit state! Well months later 16 of the 18 are fully dead so much tlc could not save them and a lot at our expense, I have constantly been emailing sending pictures of the various weeks of degradation and shown the dead brown bark tests and nothing! I have told the company I AM NOT GOING AWAY AND WANT A FULL REFUND FOR THE 16! To also make matter even worse the two that have survived are yellow and NOT the orange I ordered!!!!AVOID THEY ARE NOT THAT MUCH CHEAPER, BUT THEY ARE REALLY NOT WORTH THE HASSLE AT ALL! SPEND THE LITTLE EXTRA AND GET FROM LITRALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!!
I placed my order 18 days ago and still waiting. I chased after 5 days and got a computer generated message saying to give them 10 working days. I chased again and have no reply. I feel i have been scammed, especially seeing so many people in a similar situation.
Purchased a ?60 in plants from GE on 27th April. 25th May they arrived (despite their website claim 3 - 5 working days). Most were in good condition, wrapped, potted etc. However, the pair of red standard rose trees (a ?9.99) and a weeping rose tree (19.99) were not potted, nor "in the green" or ready to bloom as indicated on their website! The bare rose weeping tree had broken stems and in a sorry state and not sure it will totally recover. One of the standard rose trees arrived as a bare stick! The other had some leaves on it. 5 - 10 leaves to be pedantic.I contacted this company the day after the items arrived and I was asked to take images and send pictures of the labels attached to the plant pots. 1. The rose trees came wrapped in clingfilm type wrap with a little dried out soil and did not have pots or labels. 2. There was no packing slip in the packaging either! I sent the images and a fortnight later I contacted gardening express again, having heard nothing! I was then asked to perform a bark test. I did. I sent off the images of the 3 trees and their respective bark tests. One clearly very dead since the day it arrived! No reply!Emailed again, and again and again. No replies!Requested a replacement. No reply. Contacting consumer affairs and exercising my rights under the consumer affairs act 2015.Also contacting my credit card company to start a section 75 claim to get my money refunded. If you value your time, money and sanity, avoid this company at all costs.
Waited 30 days from when money was taken. On arrival one plant was dead, two were very sickly. Only the hydrangea and bare root roses were ok. Not worth the wait or the price. Unable to speak to anyone. Will update review if I recieved any response to their customer service form online. Have asked for a refund for the dead plant and a discount on the two sickly plants.
Do not use this company, they are not trustworthy, their products are poor, compost poor, packing hopeless, customer care non existant.Sent as condolence gift by a cousin. Most of the plants, damaged, poor or just about hanging on . Sent pictures with first response but had reply email asking for same and different pictures, quite unrealistic demands, no apology, no explanation. Just not worth considering if you want quality. Sad that this happened at such a difficult time.
I initially ordered 3 large pots from Gardening Express and while on site decided to order some plants that were on special offer. For some strange reason 3 plants were despatched separately, which meant we would be away when they were due. Delivery agents, Yodel, did not offer any alternative options such as leaving with neighbour which was strange. My neighbour kindly offered to keep checking and collect them if delivered, especially as we were having a heatwave. He was surprised to hear that they had supposedly been left in porch (we do not have one) on Friday morning, as he had looked out for them regularly throughout the day. Yodel did not provide a photo. On Saturday we returned home to find the pots and other plants had just been delivered. The pots were very nice; the plants were not the best but OK for the price paid. My main complaint is that I have tried to contact Gardening Express several times regarding my lost plants but they do not provide any email address or phone number, they have not responded to my messages and I have now had to write the lost plants off as they are doubtless dead anyway. I am suspicious of any company that does not provide phone numbers and appear not to offer any form of aftersales service. I will not be ordering from them again and would advise others to be very wary of purchasing from this company.
I ordered 2 hydrangeas and 4 rose plants. They took over two weeks to arrive which was my fault, I didn't read the fine print of their busy period. But then on the day of delivery I received an email saying that the delivery driver had damaged a box with 4 of the rose plants. The two rose plants I did received looked half dead as well. I appreciated the email and was told to send through pictures of what I had received which I did. It has now been a further two weeks and and two emails later I have not received any further correspondence. I still haven't received the 4 roses nor do I want them if they are to look like the two that did arrive, I asked for a refund and have not had any communication back.
