I ordered 4 fruit trees and 3 were dead on arrival, an unacceptable failure rate. Ia??ve left numerous messages with Gardening Express and heard zilch, also unacceptable. DONa??T use them!

Avoid at all costs

Yodel kept saying they'd tried to deliver. Lies. Finally delivered after two weeks. Plants are dead. Reading small print gardening express never refund on offer items and expect you to pay to return them. Disgusting company. Aboid

It's not worth the risk

I bought 10 lavender plants on 18/6/25. Two days later I received a text, purportedly from EVRI, saying they had my order but that I hadn't been in when they called (I had) and asked me to rearrange delivery. They wanted my name and date of birth, amongst other things, and I would normally have assumed it was a scam but because I was expecting my plants I emailed Gardening Express to see if they had dispatched them. I just got a cut and paste reply because there is no phone number to ring. I realised the EVRI text was a scam and then decided to look on this site to see the reviews. Yes, too late - now trying to remember to Always Look on Trust Pilot Before I Buy Anything Online Ever Again. On 2/7/25 I decided that the plants probably wouldn't come and purchased 10 of them from the local garden centre, very good quality but of course twice the price of Gardening Express. Got home and three hours later had a text from Yodel to say a?We've got your plantsa? , so yes the plants have arrived but in a very sorry state - simply wrapped in brown paper in a cardboard box. Two out of ten may survive. I realise it's hot weather but no attempt was made to provide moisture for these plants while they were in transit. It's put me off buying plants online at all.

Very disappointing

Ordered 5 plants 8 June, received confirmation then nothing. Had to chase to get delivery. 1 item out of stock, 4 delivered but very disappointing. For the same price I could have gone to B&q and got healthier plants. One looks healthy, the other 3 have sparse growth, broken stems, yellowing leaves. I wona??t be ordering from this company again

'???? 1 out of 5 starsThird poor delivery in a row a?? extremely disappointedThis is now the third plant delivery Ia??ve received in poor condition from this company, and sadly, ita??s just as poor as the last two. The Calibrachoa arrived half out of the pot, with loose soil spilling everywhere and the plant looking limp and damaged a?? absolutely not the quality I expected, especially after repeated issues.After previous complaints, I received an email from the company admitting that their quality team were not 100% happy with the Calibrachoa Graffiti, Calibrachoa Goodnight Kiss, and Petunia Double Tumbelina a??Rosy Ripplea?? stock. They said they were awaiting fresh stock and gave me the option to either wait (with no estimated delivery date) or request a refund a?? which highlights they knew full well the plants werena??t in acceptable condition.Despite that, I still received another substandard delivery. This suggests a serious lack of care and a pattern of knowingly sending out poor-quality goods.At this stage, I no longer trust the company and will be contacting Trading Standards to raise a formal complaint. I would strongly advise others to avoid ordering from them until they make significant improvements in quality control and customer care

Dona??t buy from this company!

They delivered a dead tree in a wet box! I have e mailed them 3 times now and have not had a response. I am not paying to return this item at a cost to me when ita??s not fit for purpose. I have taken photos you cannot expect me to send this item back

I ordered a lavender bush from Gardening Express which arrived in a completely lifeless, brown, and clearly dead condition. I planted it the same day hoping it might recover, but it was beyond saving from the outset.I contacted their customer support multiple times with detailed photos and a polite request for a replacement or refund a?? all of which were ignored. I even followed up with a formal complaint referencing the Consumer Rights Act, which also went unanswered.Ita??s now been well over a week with no communication, no resolution, and no acknowledgment of any kind.This level of customer service is unacceptable a?? especially when plants are guaranteed to arrive in a??excellent condition.a? Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Gardening Express and would advise others to consider more reputable suppliers like Crocus or Sarah Raven.

After waiting over a whole month received dead roses

I placed a order on gardening express on 19th May. Order did not arrive over a month later after sending 6 email asking where my order is. I received only 1 very rude response trying to make it out like I'm being impatient. Finely after waiting over a month the delivery arrived box all ripped and dented the plants squashed or already dead. I might have just burned the a ?59 and saved myself the heart aches and stress. Please do not buy from here. Honestly this the second time I received dead plants from here. Lesson learned never again. They are using the fact that they don't have a shop to return the bad products as an advantage to mess people around. I have never come across a business with this level of poor customer service no accountability at all ever shown
