A similar story was given to me offered me so much money, when received offered me less as there was an issue (phone was less than 1 years old and latest iPhone). Sent phone in 12 days ago. Today is the 7th working day and still no payment. I rang last Friday and was told that payment will be in no later than today. I have tried to call numerous times today and each time after around 15/20 minutes on hold it just cuts off. If no payment is made tomorrow which will be 8 working days, 13 actual days I sent the phone I will take it further and contact the police, as this is basically theft. I either want my iPhone returned or my money.Edit - 8 days and still no money tried to call this morning and yet again cut off after being on hold for so long. Absolutely appalling they are thieves. It is also funny how they only respond to the positive reviews (reviews that are not as old as mine too) just makes me think they are not real reviews! Would appreciate someone getting in touch!! EDIT finally got through to someone and conveniently it was sent at 5.01 and missed the pay run but has assured me it will be in by the end of the day. I told them that if it wasn't I will be taking further action and told them the review will be staying. I have contacted local trading standards and been advised if no money by end of play today which looking at the reviews I doubt to contact police for a theft and crime number. ****I did get my money at the end of the day****
I was quoted ?216 for my iPhone 13 mini, which was in very good condition – I have photo and video evidence to back this up. However, once UR received the device, they slashed the offer to ?65, citing battery health and minor cosmetic marks as reasons.They claimed the battery health was at 80% and had 1370 charge cycles, saying it needed replacing because it's below 85% or had more than 500 cycles. However, this level of wear is typical for a used phone and was clearly not explained upfront as a deal-breaker.Additionally, they cited light scratches and minor marks as justification for their lowball offer – again, fairly standard for a used phone in very good condition.I reluctantly accepted the offer due to the hassle of waiting for the phone to be returned. I’m confident I could have easily sold it privately for over ?200.I regret using their service and wish I had read the reviews first. The experience felt misleading and opportunistic.Update: After posting my review, I received a call from Lucy at UR and we were able to come to a resolution. She was polite, understanding, and handled the situation professionally. She revised the offer to ?150, which I appreciated.It’s disappointing that it took a negative review for the issue to be taken seriously — good service should be the standard, not a reaction to public feedback. That said, only due to Lucy’s excellent customer service, I’m raising my rating to 3 stars
Poor poor poor! After accepting a low-ball offer on my phone, and being promised quick payment, 10 days later and I am yet to see any payment materialise. Can’t help but feel I’ve been scammed at this point. No answer on phones and live chat unavailable. Have emailed but not expecting any response.
Gave me a price for my phone, which I refused, asked for it to be returned. Next day I received an email saying that they would increase the amount, which I agreed to. So remember don’t accept their first offer. Also I waited nearly two weeks for payment, after I chased them
Don't use them to sell your used phone. They jack up the price when you check the website and when you send it to them they give a low ball offer. They offered me ?246 for my phone and the offer I received was ?88. When I rejected it, they bumped it to ?105, then I rejected again, they bumped it to ?140 which I rejected again on principle. Very shady business practice. Got my phone back and sold it on Facebook marketplace for ?200 no questions asked. Faster and easier
I would give zero if I could. I would not recommend this company. I sent in two phones; one was received and the other phone had gone missing. Royal Mail had shown this was delivered to them. UR has next to zero customer service. I had made over twenty calls and none of them were picked up. The only way they communicated was via email, which was a very slow process. As the other reviews have stated, you get nowhere near the price they give on their website. Beware; I had nothing but aggravation with this company.
My online evaluation was estimated to be upto ?149. I understand this was subject to review but I was shocked when i sent my phone and they offered me ?100 less than the original quote following their “assessment”. In my opinion, they exaggerated the scratches on the screen calling them “deep” when they were actually very superficial and couldn’t be seen when the screen was on. I rejected the offer and they came back to me with a counteroffer and increased it by ?20. This tells me their valuation was far too low and they are trying to rip me off with their first offer. If it was worth ?70, why not offer that in the first place?! I declined the second offer and asked for my phone to be returned. My phone was sent to them in its original pristine box. It was sent back to me in an old tattie one for a much older iphone. It states before agreeing to the order that original boxes would not be returned however I really don’t see a reason why this shouldn’t have been returned to me?! It stands to reason I should have gotten my box back! They have in effect stolen it. Such a disappointing “service”. Absolute cowboys.
