Refreshingly helpful

The thoughtful and responsive assistance from the Sheffield branch of Linley & Simpson made a very pleasant change in a market where it often feels, as a renter, that letting agents are doing the bare minimum. I would like to thank Lauren for supporting me with viewings whilst living in another city and knowing the answers to all my questions about the property.

Great expreience overall

An estate agent that actually contacts you! I have spoken with agents from 2 different branches a few times whilst trying to find a property and each time they are really helpful and friendly. The communication by email and SMS is prompt. Had a viewing today with Suki, she was very pleasant and gave me all the information I needed before I even had to ask. Recommend to everyone.

She has been incredibly kind, helpful and supportive throughout and the team have guided us through the process, making it easy and straightforward. I highly recommend renting with them.

I viewed a flat

I viewed a flat. Left a query with the person who showed me round and asked the agency to come back to me. No contact whatsoever made by agency. Phoned today to find out why.They said they did not have note of my outstanding question and had emailed me for feedback on my viewing.When I asked them to check the email address they'd used to contact me for feedback, it was incorrect. They answered my query today on the phone.The flat is now under offer and the agent asked me if I still wanted to make an offer as the sale hasn't yet gone though. When I told them I had a flat to sell first they weren't interested in pursuing the conversation and quickly ended the call.They fail to consider that i will shortly be looking for an estate agent to sell my flat and following my recent experience, I will not be considering this agency!

Very bad experience

Absolutely the worst letting agents I have ever used, and would give a zero star rating if I could. In my opinion they seem to hold no regard for their tenants. Left me with no heating and hot water for over 6 weeks. I reported a dripping tap in 1st week of Jan and it was still dripping when I left the property, which is on a water meter, at end of March. Other lengthy spells waiting for minor repairs, ending up having to constantly chase for any action. They failed to acknowledge my emailed suggested move out date and an email the following day confirming this date, made absolutely no contact with me either by email or phone for over 2 weeks, which led me to believe this was ok, because surely they would have been in touch to inform me of any problems wouldn't they? After waiting so long for any contact I chased them up to finalise the move out / key drop details, only to be then told that my suggested date was not acceptable as they had been unable to contact the landlord, this consequently then led to me having to pay over 250 pounds extra rent for a property I hadn't lived in for 2 weeks, as I had already signed up on my new home.Maybe other people have had a good experience with this company, but sadly mine was awful and I wouldn't recommend at all to anyone.

Easy and smooth 2 years.

Been an easy and smooth 2 years with these guys. Had to end the contract early due to personal reasons but Jordan really helped me do that within a few hours I got confirmation! Brilliant and lovely team. Would highly recommend!

AVOID AVOID! Linley&Simpson HOLMFIRTH

AVOID AVOID!! Linley and Simpson (HOLMFIRTH Branch)Ia ? ?m not even sure where to begin with this agency. From the outset there was incompetence, rudeness, and unprofessionalism - and this was followed by so many lies and outright discrimination at ever turn. Particularly from Claire Ball and Simon Lewis. Their lies were only uncovered when we discovered who the landlords were and spoke to them directly. To say I was shocked was an understatement.This was finalised by discrimination and more lies form the agent, who by this point were clearly not happy their lies had been uncovered and proceeded to then cover up their lies with yet more lies. If you are a prospective landlord or a potential renter. Please please protect your interests and avoid this agency at all costs, especially the Holmfirth branch in West Yorkshire. A complaint regarding this will be forthcoming to the TPO - agents cannot be allowed to continue practicing like this.I am more than happy to discuss what has happened further with a manager etc
