My 82 year old dad recently bought a 24 plate Nissan from Glyn Hopkin Stamford Hill. He brike down last Tuesday 13/08/24 due to a faulty fuel pump and was towed back to the dealer who could not give him a courtesy car so he has been without a car for the past 9 days. My dad uses the car for his partner who has a disability so it is important for him to have the use of a vehicle. Glyn Hopkin have nopt been in contact with my dad at all and did not inform him that under the Nissan warranty he could have hired a courtesy car and Nissan would have reimbursed him. When I mentioned this to the staff at Glyn Hopkin they said they were under no obligation to inform customers of this because the warranty is with Nissan. I am under noobligation to help a little old lady if she fell over in the street but as a decent human being I would do so and I would think that an authorised Nissan dealership would want to help their customers especially the vulnerable ones. I have now had to raise this issue with Nissan directly who have told me that it will take 2 days for a case worker to get back to me so that will now be a total of 11 days my dad has been without a car or had any answers at all from either Glyn Hopkin or Nissan. Absolutely disgusting after sales service.
I visited Glyn Hopkin at St Albans to view and potentially purchase a used car. The vehicle, a Renault, had a sticker in the back window stating 'Five year Renault guarantee' but when I asked, the saleman told me it was only three years and had expired. I expressed surprise and concern and he replied that he had previously brought the incorrect label to the attention of the Sales Manager. I did not proceed with transaction.
Booked my car in for a service and mot at the Ipswich Nissan branch.Upon carrying out the vehicle health check report.They claimed that amongst other faults,the engine needed to be replaced as timing chain had stretched.Despite this,they still carried on with the major service and mot despite knowing that it would fail.They then charged me ?305 even though they had basically written the car off.They claimed it would cost almost ?12,000 to effect a repair on a car worth ?6,000.When I complained that I should have been contacted prior to any work being undertaken, I was told that they carried out the work that car was booked in for despite the findings of their health check. I maintain that I should have had the opportunity to halt the work before any additional charges were incurred. I will never use this dealership again and have reported my experience to Nissan GB but they also have poor customer service and have not bothered to respond. I would not have given a one star rating if at all possible to post my review without.
Glyn Hopkin Nissan East London - Had our business van booked in for a service. Day before the service date, we get a text to say the booking has been moved for two months time! I called them and they said they have no space on site for vans!! even though the serviced was booked over a month ago. No consideration for our small business and the fact that we had not booked in work for that day. the guy on the end of the phone was not sympathetic and more pathetic!! Rubbish service.
Would give zero stars if it was an option! Booked in my car for a repair via the customer service team following a fault being diagnosed by RAC that is covered under my warranty.Car was with the team for 9 hours and no repairs done only a repeat diagnostic to confirm it was the part I already knew that was faulty when I dropped off at 8am!I’ve had to pay for the privilege of a courtesy car plus fuel today and wasted a day off and I’m now expected to come back again and use another day off and pay again for another courtesy car etc for it to be repaired.This process is completely convoluted and waste’s customers time and money, I was falsely under the impression I was booking in for a repair today and staff had no understanding of why I was so shocked and upset today when I went to pick my car and it wasn’t repaired at all after it being there all day!Customer service is so poor in aftercare, once they get your money they don’t like to admit fault to any mistakes or faults that come up, for such an expensive purchase you’d think they’d want you to be satisfied and to ensure your happy with your purchase to get repeat customersAsk for management details to be sent to me so I could contact them about how upset I was today and only got sent my vehicle inspection no effort made to contact me or give me details so I can contact themI can safely say never again will I be purchasing a vehicle from glyn hopkin group
Very bad experience,I ordered a Motability car in May in glyn hopkin Romford,but because someone takes my old car also with Motability without my permission it wasn’t possible to keep order,when I make that order the seller told me that I will have my money back for 10-15 days ( ?500)Corey told me again after we cancelled the car I will receive that money.Now is 4 months and I didn’t receive my money,they didn’t answer calls or emails ,just because I believe they will put my money (save money from my disable child )I was looking to order another car and I really like the Nissan I use for nearly 4 years,I ordered another one used car on September but the finance company didn’t approve,they told me again I will have my money back for 10-15 days (another ?500) but I am really scared is going to happen same thing I am very disappointed and stressed and in depression,I can’t sleep eat or do nothing,I don’t have money to loss ,especially in this difficult time and with 3 little kids one with special needs high rate ,this is just not fair
Purchased a new Renault Clo from Glyhopkins St Albans .Unfortunately I had to cancel due to ill health and job problems .Having paid a ?500 deposit I asked if they could meet me half way because of my difficult circumstance.This dealer/finance manager couldn’t care less .I asked for an invoice of where my money had been spent and this was not sent .I wish I would have waited until the delivery stage now before I let them know of my difficulties but trying to be reasonable obviously doesn’t work with this dealer .The Finance Manager at St Albans Renault will take your deposit even if you suffer ill health so beware when purchasing from this dealer .
