I was charged a yearly renewal (-$146,93 USD or -$240,95 AUD) without any warning or email reminder. I cancelled my account (04/21/2025) as soon as I saw the withdrawal on my bank account and have contacted Domestika's (so-called) Zen Support Desk (!) five (5) times with no reply other than automated AI responses...------------------------------Here is the (unanswered) email I have sent 5 times:Dear Domestika Zen Desk!I hope this message finds you well.I am writing (again) to request a refund for the recent automatic renewal of my Domestika Plus (Order C46559499T29947474, dated April 19 2025 for $229.99 AUD). (Please see PayPal screenshot attached)Upon discovering the charge, I immediately cancelled the renewal just now, which came as an unannounced and unwanted renewal. I never received a renewal notice, and I have just checked my mailbox, spam included, for anything Domestika. As you will see in your records, I haven’t used the platform for several months, I haven't even started the course I applied for, nor do I plan to in the future. I have now retired at 68 and am living on a very modest government pension, which makes this charge a significant and unaffordable expense for me.I kindly and urgently ask that you process a full refund as soon as possible. You may reply to me at email-address-supplied , and I am also reachable on WhatsApp at +61 422 905 533 if needed.Thank you for your understanding and assistance.Warm regards,Pierre GESLIN----------------------------My advice: I would avoid having anything to do with this company/platform if you care about your finances...
I love Domestika's courses, but the customer service is terrible. I contacted them 5 times about the same issue and each time received a response copied and pasted from the website FAQs that had nothing to do with my issue. When I replied that it had not answered my question, there was no further communication.I purchased Plus using a company credit card as part of a company learning budget, but made a small mistake inputting details. As Domestika won't amend my invoice or issue a refund, I now have to pay for Plus myself, which I can't afford.I wish the support quality matched the course quality.
I accidentally bought a bunch of courses on Domestika that I didn't want. And, although on their website it says that you can cancel the course within a couple of days and get your money back, I didn't manage to get through to ANYONE who could help me. I also couldn't do it on the website. So, I never got a refund. TERRIBLE and NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I used to be a loyal customer, and now all I do is tell people about this. Very disappointed. All they want is your money.
They set up an automatic payment occurring yearly. I didn’t realise until a year later when charged the second time. All up 269 usd. PayPal looked into it and saw that domestika had set it up when I bought a cheap course. They were only able to refund payments made within 6 months. Such a dishonest fraudulent company
I purchased a course on Domestika during a promotion, and without my consent, I was enrolled in an annual “Domestika Plus” subscription and charged $187.02 USD. I was not clearly or explicitly informed that my purchase included a future payment. The details were buried in fine print, if shown at all. After doing some research, I discovered I’m not alone. There are dozens of users with similar experiences, calling this practice misleading — even fraudulent. What’s worse, customer support is hard to reach, and refunds are rarely granted, even for unauthorized charges.I hope Domestika takes responsibility and refunds my money. In the meantime, this is a warning to others: read everything carefully before sharing your payment information.
The course I signed up for was okay, but I did not sign up for the Domestika Plus, nevertheless, I received a $399 charge on my credit card for a year subscription. Within an hour I tried to cancel it and asked for a refund, but they refused. Seems like a really poor way to run a business.
I recently purchased two courses on Domestika for €1 each, which seemed like a great offer. However, without clear warning, this purchase apparently triggered a "free trial" that automatically converted into a €238 annual subscription — charged directly to my PayPal account. At no point during the purchase was it clearly communicated that I was subscribing to a full membership plan, or that such a high amount would be deducted. I only realised the charge after receiving the payment notification.I immediately contacted both Domestika and PayPal, but unfortunately my refund request was denied. I feel this practice is misleading and unethical, especially given how easy it is to overlook the fine print.I do not wish to use the subscription and have already cancelled everything, but I believe customers should be better informed and protected from unexpected charges like this.I sincerely hope Domestika will reconsider my case and refund the amount. Until then, I cannot recommend the platform.
