Run a mile from this company, it is a scam. (Look it up online, google ‘Domestika Scam’)This is what they do.They claim to be charging you just 4.99 for a course when in fact they are secretly (using very small print) signing you up for a ?130 bill for Domestika plus, that with no forewarning just bill you for. They are robbing people. I’m not sure how legal it is. Utterly disgusting. Having to go through my bank to dispute the payment.
I must have bought a discounted course through them for about 99p ( although I cannot remember doing so and have received no emails from them). They take money out of your account some time (months) later without informing you at all. NO emails received by me from them.I only know because I saw on my debit account that Domestika had taken ?136.83. This, even though you have never used a course and never having agreed to any subscription money being taken out of your account. No emails sent to you, no mention of a subscription. They owe me ?136.83. I am pursuing them for fraud through my bank.
I was charged for a Domestika Plus subscription I never knowingly agreed to. The so-called "free trial" was presented in a way that did not clearly inform me of an automatic renewal or upcoming charge. I never received a reminder or warning before being billed. When I contacted Domestika, I received a generic response that did not address my concerns, and since then, they have stopped replying entirely. I also raised a case with PayPal, but Domestika did not cooperate, and I am still waiting for a refund. This kind of practice — making it easy to subscribe but difficult to cancel or get support — feels deceptive and unprofessional. I strongly caution others to be careful before trying Domestika Plus.
Scam site with underhand practises.'Bought' an advertised offer of a course which was advertised in English, with English description of course.Watched less than a minute of it (as it was in Spanish). One month later they have taken a years subscription from my bank account.Emails are template replies and no chance to appeal. One search on Facebook reveals just how much of a dodgy company they are.Do not use them.
I have found an unauthorised payment of several hundred dollars to Domestika. After looking into it it was an unauthorised subscription that they created after two cheap courses were ordered.I have previously used the company without issue however it appears that it has been taken over by a group of fraudsters.Do not use Domestika.
?? Beware and avoid this company at all cost!!!! Like hundreds of others now i was misled by them - ?300+ taken for a subscription I never knowingly signed up for. They charged me over ?300 for a Premium subscription I never knowingly agreed to, never used, and wasn’t made clearly aware of. I only discovered the charge after it hit my PayPal, and when I tried to dispute it, PayPal sided with them. I will be escalating further complaints and submitting a complaint to UK consumer protection authorities! I suggest that everyone that has been scammed by them does so at their local authorities- this cannot go on.Domestika claims that they make their service clear and easy to use - why don’t you LISTEN to hundreds of you customers that don’t feel that way? That feel scammed and misled? This is a classic case of dark marketing patterns—designing the site in a way that tricks users into subscribing without informed consent and then with no clear way to contact them - and by just completely ignoring people emails?? To this day no response from them. Absolutely disgraceful way to treat customers. I’ve never even taken a single course, yet they pocketed ?300+ like it’s nothing, ignoring messages and hiding behind shady legal framework while running to the bank laughing with Artists/aspiring artists money, cannot think of a more disgraceful way to conduct business.Domestika you are unethical. Avoid this company at all costs unless you want to be silently enrolled into overpriced subscriptions you didn’t ask for.
This is a scam website. Whatever you buy you will automatically subscribe for a 300$ yearly subscription which they automatically charge your card with. And no, you didn’t have to subscribe to it, they will do it without your consent. I have considered contacting the police but unfortunately the site is run from god knows where (maybe India?) the changes of the local police being able to do anything are thin.I cannot believe the credit card companies don’t block this website from using their services.
I bought a course for $1.99 and Domestika added a free Domestika Plus trial without my clear consent. Later, they charged me $199.99 without warning or email notification.I never authorized this charge, and there’s no option to remove your credit card from the platform. I emailed support several times but got only automatic replies, no real help, no refund. This feels like a scam and I see many others had the same experience. Be careful with this platform.
