Review Time
I recently purchased a course on the Domestika website. I have before and had a reasonable experience. This time however, they somehow signed me up for an annual fee of over $400. I contacted them three times and all I received back was a generic response all indicating that this was not refundable. To be clear I have not accessed the course I purchased nor the perks of the "Plus" that unknowingly signed up for. I made that clear in my emails but they seem to have no inclination to respond. Please steer clear of this site. It is a trap. I feel bad for the talent that is teaching their craft on this site. They likely have no knowledge of this.
Its a scam. If I could give Domestika zero stars, I would. I purchased a single short course and was charged 91euro for a year subscription I never signed up for this and I was never notified of such a subscription. I didnt even know I paid for this until yesterday when they stole 150 euro from me for renewal something I never knowingly signed up for. This is completely criminal.I have contacted their support team many times and have received no response whatsoever. This lack of accountability is appalling and feels like a deliberate scam. It is theft and should be reported to consumer protection authorities.Avoid this company at all costs. Do not sign up for anything — you’re unlikely to get a refund, and they clearly have no interest in helping their customers.
This company are scammers!! I had $560 taken from my account through PayPal . I never signed up for this and now I am left in financial distress. How dare you do this to people. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. They take you money and never return your money or emails! Denise
I experienced the same thing. There were no notifications and didn't notice any annual subscriptions when I bought the course for my daughter. I only found out that I was charged when I tried to pay a bill and says not enough balance. It was a headache. I felt rob. They are thieves!
CANCEL your PLUS subscription! They will charge you after you buy any small course! When you buy any course on the website, they hang on to your PLUS subscription and then yearly charge you!!!Domestika, if you see that thousands of users struggle with your stupid way of charging, why don't you change it? As all users understand, you are only interested in SCAM when you hang a PLUS sub when they buy something. Please don't say anything about transparency and bla-bla-bla. It's not smart to lose clients like this and a bad investment for the future! See your rate here
It's a scam. Don't sign up for anything. They are the worst. You sign up for a really cheap course. Then they take a years subscription from your payment method without warning. Predatory business. They don't give you a chance to get a refund. The course was horrible. I forgot about it. Then I got hit with a $400 withdrawal on PayPal. PayPal lets them do it. They should be shut down. Domjestika is a scam. They lie. I did cancel. They are cheats.
Very happy to have completed this lesson, it was definitely a bit challenging but it made me focus on a specific brush technique which I need to work on. Hash, you are such a thorough and calm influence and you have a very soothing instructor voice :-)
Horrible. I didn't use anything on their website, got lured in with a 1€ course and they took like 234€ out of a blue from my account. I have contacted them 7 times to get a refund and they just ignore my messages or say that if I want information why it was deducted I signed a contract. I wouldn't recommend them to nobody.
When you subscribe to any course, domestika automatically adds you Domestika Plus Subscription without saying that actually this is a paid service for which You will need to pay after one months. Then they charged me actually twice without sending any message (where is normally they send messages every second day almost.) I strongly disadvice this website. It is illegal practice in Europe, and I’m going to bring it to the consumers’ ombudsman.
