I’ve been a loyal Domestika user for years, but recently I was charged for a “Plus” subscription that I never intended to purchase.Apparently, it was added automatically during the checkout of a different product. I reached out to their support team and explained everything clearly, but received a generic reply saying they won’t refund me.This seems to be a common issue—many users are reporting the same. It’s disappointing to see such a great creative platform rely on unclear billing tactics. I’ve disputed the charge with my bank and reported the case to the FTC as well.Domestika, you can do better.
I paid for a ?1.99 course and was charged ?280.74 for a year subscription that I did not agree to sign up for, or was warned about prior to their cancellation date. Domestika is a scam, don't pay for their courses. I've tried to resolve this via PayPal but because they seem to think Domestika is "legitimate", they won't help.12/06/2025 update: still no refund. The link provided for refund help tells you to email Domestika, which I have done on several occasions, and the responses received are automated. There is no direct team to email, or phone number. They will say you failed to cancel the subscription, but I didn’t sign up for the subscription in the first place. Fraudulent scamming thieves!
NEVER EVER BUY A COURSE HERE!!Bought a course in 2021 that didn't work. If you are not in south america you can't request a refund so just let it go (EUR 9,90)Now YEARS LATER they used my credit card for $336,39 (EUR 306,48) I have no active account nor do I have the plus subscription. There is no way to get in contact with them, I now have to ask ABN AMRO to arrange a refund and get a new creditcard!DON"T DO IT!!!IT WILL BITE YOU YEARS LATER!!!!THERE IS NO WAY TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THEM!!!
I was charged for a full Domestika Plus subscription after a free trial that I forgot to cancel. I never used the subscription or accessed any Plus courses, and this unexpected charge has left me with no money in my account. As a student with limited financial resources, this is a major issue. I’ve contacted support and received a generic reply refusing the refund despite not using any services. Please treat this as a fair and genuine request and refund the charge.Domestika, you can do better.
They scam you with the yearly subscription!! It's quite shady, I purchased a course for 0.99 euro, and it was not clear that I was automatically subscribed for a monthly free trial, then after it ends, they charge you the yearly subscription. I paid 300 euros. They won't refund you! Please be aware
Like everyone else Domestika has turned out to be a complete scam. Paid 99p for a cousre thats signs you up to Domestika Plus a non refundable service. They then charged ?270 as their "free trial" is up. So for a 2 course that are unused ?7 they charge almost ?300. At no point did it say it was subscription. They are a complete CON
Deliberate dark tactic for plus subscription after a 30 day trial. The courses are good but the company needs to rethink their payment strategy as you may be surprised to loose 320 dollars for a years subscription with a no refund policy after they hook you with a free course or trial.
Scam alert. So I paid through Paypal to get one course which i think was like 10 USD. Only to find out that they charged my credit card through PayPal for like 200 USD subscription that I never wanted or agreed to. Seriously?! This is a scam and very desperate way to collect money. Shame! I will never go back to Domestika!
