It uses tricks to charge Plus subscription service. Cancellation didn't work and was charged 100euros for 1 year (it was apparently on discount). Pretty much a legal scam. You get points every month to buy lessons, and any remaining points get deleted when the sub ends, but that is not mentioned anywhere. Also the "free" lessons for Plus members don't even include the lessons files.
I bought a course in discount and it offered me the option to add domestika plus for free to try it for 30 days. They charged me $20 for domestika plus and they don't have a contact page to try to get your money back. What a scam!
I feel completely deceived by Domestika's sales tactics. In March 2025, I bought a course “on promotion” for 4 PLN (about €1) — a great deal, or so I thought. What Domestika failed to clearly communicate was that this "promotion" forced me into a Domestika Plus free trial, with an automatic annual renewal hidden in small print.Despite canceling what the subscription before, I was charged 614.95 PLN (around €140) on April 27, 2025. I only discovered it after the money was already gone from my account. To be clear:I have written proof that I canceled the subscription before the renewal date.I received no warning or reminder about the upcoming charge. The renewal was buried under a misleading course discount.Domestika is running what feels like a subscription trap disguised as a course promotion. The course I wanted for 4 PLN ended up costing me 614.95 PLN because they tied it to an unwanted, auto-renewing yearly plan.No refund has been offered despite the clear evidence I provided. I will be filing a chargeback with my bank and reporting this case to EU consumer protection authorities.Avoid their "free trial" offers unless you want to pay for a year you never agreed to.
Like many many others I too have now been caught by the painfully expensive subscription when I only intended to buy a course. I have tried to discuss it with them reasonably but they ignored me and took ?200 anyway. Clearly this is their main way of making money. It is such a shame because the courses are actually good and professionally put together but don’t get involved with Domestika because they seem to deliberately set out to fool you into buying an expensive subscription you never wanted.
I signed up for Domestika Plus with the 30-day free trial, thinking I’d try it out and decide later. What they don’t make clear enough is that after the trial, they automatically charge you €299 for a full year — without any additional confirmation. They claim they send a reminder, but in my case, it went straight to my spam folder. I had no idea the charge was coming. I canceled the subscription immediately after the charge, but they still refused to refund me, even though I never used any of the paid features. This feels like a shady business practice designed to catch people off guard and profit from it. Be very careful, and don’t give them your payment info unless you’re 100% sure you want the yearly subscription. Extremely disappointed.
Scam. Be careful. Signed up for a course and a month after I was charged for some kind of subscription which I did not sign up for!!!!! Cheeky company with deceiving marketing practices. Courses are not great anyway. Super basic and differ from the description. At the time on the checkout the subscription wasn’t visible! If you google domestika scam you can see how many people were charged for subscriptions they did not sign up for. Manu unhappy customers. Company is deceiving and promotes misleading marketing practices.
