If I could give a zero star review I would. First off, like many others I was misled into a yearly subscription that cost me $290. A huge amount of money, and something that sneaked onto the back of a ‘$0.99’ purchase of a course. It’s impossible to get in touch with them, they do not engage on the issue - and when trying to escalate to PayPal it gets closed in their favour. However even with the DonestikaPlus account, oh have access to very little - there are barely any courses that are included in ‘plus’. Plus what? Plus you’re going to spend a lot of money for absolutely nothing. For most courses you need to use credits, of which Plus includes only 12. I wish I had read this before any involvement with them, they are shameful company that needs to be closed down. Shame on you Domestika.
Domestica is where I go to increase my knowledge of painting and drawing, even though I've been making my living at my art since 1983. The teachers are the best at what they do and share their knowledge and techniques in a fun and encouraging way. Ultimately, it helps me be more creative and think in ways that make me a better, more successful artist. Not to mention how affordable they are! Domestica is the best deal around, by far.
I’m really upset. I signed up thinking I was purchasing a $1.99 course, and without any clear warning, I’ve now been charged over $500 for a one-year membership I absolutely did not agree to.There was no clear checkout confirmation, no obvious indication that this was anything other than a small, one-off charge. This feels extremely misleading and unethical.I used the course for one day, realised what had happened, and cancelled immediately — but the charge had already gone through. I’ve contacted customer support and requested a full refund, and I hope they’ll take responsibility for this.This kind of setup erodes trust, and I’d strongly advise others to double-check every tiny detail before signing up.
DO NOT DO THE FREE TRIAL OF DOMESTIKA PLUS! They will offer a free trial of their subscription plan and will NOT notify or remind you that the trial offer is up. You simply get charged automatically. They do not offer refunds for domestika plus.
Really incredibly dishonest policies, profits from free trials to roll your account into a 300 dollars plan and won’t issue refunds. They won’t answers to claims and disrespect the cooling off period obligatory under european laws. Don’t bother. Post reply edit : they say that everything is clear but it obviously isn’t since there are hundred of people who feel ripped off. Obviously if they were an honest company, they would have a fair and ethical refund policy, but they don’t. Don’t be fooled, they don’t care about your experience as long as they get your money.
After requesting Information and sending multiple forms to speak to someone to conclude this issue, this company has done nothing to amend what they have taken from me. They are money-hungry and unremorseful; do not use their service. As an artist myself, I appreciated the fact that they were offering classes from such experienced individuals. I thought they could be trustworthy. But they have not gotten back to me. They do not care that they have done wrong to me. I will get my money back in a way that will not be through them. However, I advise you not to use this company because they do not care if they do wrong. Their numbers don't lead you to an actual representative. Their contact forms are of no use. They do not care. I have sent at least four contact forms. They only sent me two articles that are of no help. And I gave my review here they asked for more information, and I still have not gotten back to me. Do not be tempted by the offer of cheap classes. They are nothing but money-hungry people trying to take advantage of your desire to learn.
Domistika lured me in with a $0.90 course, only to secretly upgrade my subscription to a $200 yearly plan! When I tried to cancel, their support team ghosted me, sending automated responses that didn't help.It's a scam, plain and simple. They're preying on unsuspecting customers with hidden charges and fake promises. Don't fall for it! Avoid Domistika like the plague.*Warning:* Be cautious of their sneaky auto-renewal policies and unresponsive support. Protect your wallet and choose a trustworthy alternative.
