Unauthorized $169.99 Charge After Cancellation — No Response or Refund

I subscribed to Domestika Plus on June 15, 2024, for $109.99, which gave me 12 credits to buy courses. I ended up using all my credits to buy 11 courses, but in hindsight, this wasn't even a good deal, some courses can be bought individually for as low as $5.99 during sales. So the “savings” they advertise are misleading.I canceled my membership on March 1, 2025, and I have email proof. I also used my remaining credits before the membership expired on June 14, 2025.Then on June 15, 2025, I was charged $169.99 via PayPal — without any notice, confirmation, or consent. I had even removed the card and only added PayPal because I couldn't remove payment info completely.I found out on June 16 and immediately submitted a support ticket to Domestika and opened a dispute with PayPal. On June 17, I followed up via email and updated my PayPal case.To this day, I’ve only received an automated email from Domestika and PayPal. No refund. No real response.This is not only unauthorized billing, but also a lack of transparency and poor customer service. Domestika should stop auto-renewing without clear consent, honor cancellations, and return the $169.99 they took without my permission.

Disgusting Scam- Stay Away!

This company is a complete scam. Baiting people with a "free trial" and then burying the cancellation and renewal terms in fine print. I tried getting in contact about getting a refund and got nothing but automated replies. It's obvious they make their money by people misunderstanding the cancellation process because of their vague terms. Avoid this shady business at all costs. It's nothing but a trap designed to take your money and frustrate you into giving up. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I was charged $400 by Domestika when I believed I was only paying for a $1 course. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue, Domestika has refused to refund me, blocked me on social media when I tried to voice my concerns, and sent generic, unhelpful responses to my support inquiries. I feel scammed as I was lured in by a misleading promotion, and they are now insisting it is part of their policy to keep my money. This $400 was taken without my consent, and I do not wish to avail of the service. I am seeking a full refund as this situation feels like blatant exploitation.

SCAMMED!

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!I have been charged $415CAD for one year Plus Subscription without my consent!They refused to pay it back even though I cancelled it after 40minutes of purchases!IT IS A DISGUSTING, SNEAKY COMPANY! You will be facing with automated messages if you try to reach them. Like how same automated messages will be posted under my comment!I have reported them to my bank and paypal as I have scammed. I will share how it goes.

Basically a scam company...

Basically a scam company whose business model is to lure sufficient customers into accidentally signing up for year long 'premium' accounts which they neither want, nor need, and then using AI to handle all attempts at dialogue or pleas for genuine customer service. Robbed my child of half her life savings on account of her having watched a few instructional videos. Disgusting company. Avoid.

Unexpected charge for a subscription I never intended to purchase

I usually don’t write reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. A few days ago, I purchased a small drawing course on Domestika for less than $1. I was excited to try the platform, but to my surprise, I was later charged $179 for a Domestika Plus membership — something I never intended to subscribe to.At no point did I knowingly activate a free trial or agree to a recurring plan. I truly believe this was a misunderstanding or system error. I reached out to customer support, hoping to clarify the situation and request a refund. However, I was told that subscription payments are non-refundable.I completely understand that companies have policies, but in this case, I genuinely did not authorize the charge. I am not interested in additional courses, and I only planned to access the single course I paid for.I still trust that Domestika is a responsible company, and I hope they can take a closer look at cases like mine. I would sincerely appreciate a resolution that reflects fairness and customer care. Thank you for taking the time to read my experience.

Subscription not authorised

I bought a course costing $0.99, one moth later they charged me $365 for a yearly subscription that I never authorised and I couldn't unsubscribe, besides their website says 14 days money back guarantee. Paypal also agrees the transaction was lawful and refuse to return the money. I claimed the money the minute after it was charged.

Domestika plus scam

Terribile costumer service and shady contract!When you buy any course on domestika plus make sure you cancel within 14 days or you’ll wake up to 280 ? out of your account without any warnings or agreement to it. All I did was buy a 5 ? discounted course!I was lucky enough to get my money back from paypal as domestika costumer service is nonexistent.It’s a shame because I was really enjoying my course and it’s a great idea overall but the way it’s handled it’s absolutely not worth it as the contract guideline are anything but clearly displayed.I won’t use again.

SCAM ALERT!!

SCAM ALERT!!! I’m extremely disappointed with this company. They charged me for a full year’s subscription without ANY prior notice, email, or consent. There was no reminder or warning — just a sudden charge on my account for a service I wasn’t planning to continue.What’s worse, their customer support is practically non-existent. I’ve tried contacting them multiple times, but I’ve either received no response or automated replies that didn’t help at all.This feels like a deliberate tactic to trap users into unwanted payments, and I wouldn’t trust them with any financial information. If you're considering using this service, PLEASE be careful and read the fine print thoroughly. There are far more transparent and trustworthy alternatives out there!!
