Review Time
The tech who installed our system was great. He arrived introduced himself asked a couple of questions and went right to work. He got the devices located right where we wanted them and gathered us around to explain the functions which he did to our complete satisfaction. When he was ready to leave he asked us once again if we had any questions and told us to call the corporate office if something came up. All in all it took about an hour. Very personable young man and knowledgeable about his business.
Nick explained things clearly. We scheduled a time for him to return the following day but he forgot. He did come by 3-4 hours later & apologized and we rescheduled for the following day. Overall the presentation was good. He answered all my questions. My only criticism is the way the costs were presented and iam sure this was part of his sales training. When I asked the cost of a piece of equipment I should have realized it sounded too inexpensive and it wasn’t until I committed, he left and I did the math that I realized just how expensive the system is. He didn’t quote the amount I will have paid at the end of the 60 months. It is way more than I normally would have agreed to. The sales pitch borders on deceptive.
We have had a terrible experience with Vivint. Their sales people make promises they don’t keep and the customer service is a joke. We had a lot of problems with our equipment and the salesman kept promising free months of service to keep us from canceling. When we finally decided to cancel 2 days before we were locked into a contract, the salesman stopped responding to us. When we called customer service, they told us it was too late. I provided text messages and emails to Vivint but they still refused to let us out of our contract or honor the promises the salesman made.
We had a great experience all around, from Jacob Anderson our sales rep, the install team of 3 (so professional and polite!) and the up to date equipment is better than our previous experience we had in our old home. Jacob has followed up with us and has been a real blessing to have as a partner to work with. His job didn’t end after he walked out the door making the sale. Very happy all around.
What made the experience great for us is the people you had working for you and your " sub" contractors. The installer was EXCELLENT. The salesman was Awesome. What else can I say, they did an excellent job explaining the product, installing, and following up.
I had Vivint install a home security system in January of 2022 and I had numerous problems ever since. The door sensors kept malfunctioning and had to be replaced TWICE. One of the Glass Break sensors also malfunctioned repeatedly and had to replaced twice, the second one is currently being sent to me. Another problem is that every time you call their customer service you get a different answer. And what's worse is that they sell you the equipment so you're stuck with them if you don't want to lose your money. I hope you take this feedback into consideration to protect potential future customers. Thank you
