The young man who sold me the Vivint home security system was knowledgeable about the technology. He suggested options that would best benefit me. And he called me a couple of days after the installation to answer any questions that I had.
I was told $139.70 would be my monthly charge by Ryan who installed my system. Now your Billing Dept is telling me it is $146.29. Fortiva sent me an email saying it is going to be $151 monthly. No one at Vivint can explain why I am getting such mixed messages. I had to call your billing Dept back a second time today to get someone who was competent and I could understand. Very poor home office support!
I was told this system runs off its own cellular data .. and it’s not true .. it’s running off my wifi .. that was the reason I went with this system .. and I was lied to . I needed 2 doorbells ( since they clearly saw I had 2 ring doorbells when they came out ) and once I asked about it .. they put it on and then hit me with a $386 bill had to be paid in full … I so disappointed with the service .. literally someone rings the doorbell and it is delayed and when we look to see who is at the door .. they already left .. (that’s how slow the system is) I wish I could send it all back .. not worth the $7120 we will be paying .
The sales people are aggressive and seem to swarm the neighborhood. A lot of older people live here and were reporting to police and next door app. That said, I did sign up for the service. It was better deal than others that I’d talked to. So far system works well.
The products work as expected so far. It's been 1 month. I was promised a free install, but they charged my card the $400 installation fee anyway. It was expensive, but I'm glad I bought the equipment outright, so I can cancel anytime. I like all the customizable features of the home security.
