Awful venue, infrastructure and organisation

Never in my life have I ever experienced such disorganised ineptitude for an event - 3 hours since we left the show tonight and we have moved about 100ft in the blue car park. On top of the 2 and a half hours it took to get into our pre- booked parking which meant we just arrived in time to see the end of Jess Glynne set - gutted!No one leading operations, no signage or information, no staff visible at all and zero co ordination.Shame on the organisers - I will never visit this venue again and will recommend anyone I know likewise.I'? ? ?d like a full refund for this awful experience which took away from Justin Timberlake performance which was excellent.

Very easy purchase process with regular follow-up communications

The purchase process was very easy, and the subsequent communication was mostly excellent. Regular email reminders were received, including reminders that tickets were issued via the Ticketmaster app. However, despite paying for car parking at the time of booking, no information/voucher/email was sent on how this should be redeemed. Fortunately, the staff at the venue were understanding, but there could have been a very embarassing situation due to the lack of confirmation/voucher being sent.

Ticket price flux

The actual concert was an amazing experience and I cannot fault it. However I am shocked and saddened by the fact that we were charged '? ?100 per ticket when purchasing and since then tickets were sold at half price and even '? ?20. And theese are not resale tickets! This was official from ticketmaster. Just left us feeling slightly deflated by the whole experience.

Venue

Venue, Chelmsford City Race course, did not have sufficient safety procedures. Paid for premium parking - did not receive a premium experience. Road signage was not clear - sign said premier - this was confusing as some tickets were premier seating. The whole parking was Horrendous! I believe you oversold. Was directed to a field on arrival as usual parking area was full. On departure, it was carnage. There were No stewards assisting with directions, leaving those in the field stuck. Took nearly 2 hours to leave the venue. Understand there were rows and fighting. All attributed to poor stewarding. Really dampened the experience. Enjoyed Jess Glynn and Justin Timberlake but evening was marked by bad experience.Would not attend an event there again without pre-arranged collection.

Event management was poor

Areas of Event management was poor. In particular traffic management, car parking in poorly lit fields a long distance from the venue, lack of stewards to guide the crowd, effective risk management had clearly not been undertaken. Medical emergencies in traffic queues in and out of venue would have been impossible to deal with. It was not safe. Three hours to get there, three hours to get home- a distance of 17 miles. Event management processes need to be reviewed. Missing artists due to poor logistics planning is not acceptable. Justin Timberlake was great, would have liked to see the other artists.

Mixed bag

Concert was amazing, but I am scoring solely on Ticketmaster's service which was absolutely shocking, and they really need to take a long hard look in the mirror! The double standards with the dynamic pricing, while threating and cancelling tickets for those selling on at a profit was truly awful. Not being able to resell a resale ticket (through the Ticketmaster portal) was also woeful. Finally, not being able to retrospectively buy a souvenir ticket (not that I had the option at time of purchase becuase my tickets were bought via resale), put the nail in the coffin! I don't expect any action to happen from such feedback as Ticketmaster simply don't care about genuine fans!

Chelmsford Live

Chelmsford Live. Absolute carnage. Travelled from Braintree to Great Leigh racecourse, a journey of 3 miles which took 2hr 45 minutes using the organisers bus transfers. Traffic was at a standstill (not due to the car fire as reported as this happened after) so had to walk half the journey. We were then shepherded across the bypass by a steward, one side stationary, the other side travelling at high speed. It put such a dampener on the evening we'? ? ?re considering not going tomorrow. Organisation was generally poor ie facilities inside the venue but the new route the organisers/police forced concert goers to take needs reassessment. Consideration should also be given to the local economy (deliveries, taxis etc) as well as the children who were left waiting for 3 hours at nurseries to be picked up. First Bus should also be held to account. Only 1 out of 3 planned buses were put on for Braintree. Such a shame as JT and Jess Glynn were amazing although I think half the attendees missed Jess

You made us stand in the wind and rain for three hours and then said the gig was cancelled. Best day ever.

Uncommunicative and refusing to take accountability for their mistakes

Would give 0 stars if I could. The venue changed which we were notified of but all subsequent emails stated the location was the original venue so I assumed it had been changed back. I then went online so I could double check my travel plans to then realise their emails had been giving me incorrect information. A member of my party struggles to stand for long periods of time which wouldn'? ? ?t have been a problem in the previous venue as we could have taken camping chairs with us, however in the new venue we cannot bring anything of the sort with us. I saw that there were still seated ticket available so joined the live chat to ask. Once I finally got past the AI to an actual person, all they did was inform me that they couldn'? ? ?t change the tickets as it was less than 24 hours before the event. They blatantly didn'? ? ?t believe that the many emails I had received with the wrong venue had actually been sent to me and asked me to send them screenshots of the email to them via email. It took them about 20 mins to send me anything I could reply to, which I did within minutes and now I haven'? ? ?t heard back in the 1h30 since. The event is in 2h30 and I will need to travel to the venue soon. The lack of communication and understanding is disgusting and the lack of willingness to even communicate is abhorrent. I already avoid ticketmaster unless they have a monopoly on an event (which they often do) and from this experience I will now miss out on attending events that I would like to go to because I cannot go through the stress and waste of time that this situation has already caused. And all through their misinformation and lack of willingness to take accountability! Absolutely disgusting.
