They Made a Mistake a€“ Now I Need a Second Surgery.I had laser eye surgery at Optical Express Leeds city centre on 21st January 2025. My experience has been awful from the start and is still ongoing.Straight after the surgery, I was in severe pain for nearly three weeks. One of my eyes was blurry from day one. I went to multiple aftercare appointments at their White Rose branch, and every time I was told the blurriness would improve with time. But it never got better.After four months of being dismissed, they finally admitted the truth a€” the surgery didna€™t work properly and I now need to go through a second corrective surgery.This means Ia€™ll have to: a€ ? Close my beauty salon again a€ ? Go through another painful recovery a€ ? Lose more income and clients a€ ? Take more time off for pre-surgery checks, the surgery itself, and follow-up appointments a€” just like I did the first timeHow many more times will I have to go through this? This should have been done right the first time.To make things worse, we sent a formal complaint by email and have had no response at all. No apology, no support, nothing.Optical Express made a mistake and now Ia€™m paying for it a€” with my health, time, and income. I wouldna€™t trust them again, and I strongly advise others to stay away, especially if youa€™re self-employed like me.

No professionalism

Following an online inquiry Optical Express phoned me at work ,I work nights arranged for follow-up call for afternoon, voicemail left at 11.35 just silence ,text message Optical Express are trying to contact you,I then phoned to complain of the lack of professionalism and couldn't hear the female due a lot of noise of people talking loud over each other in a call centre ,and still never got a quote fro eye surgery

I recently underwent eye lens placement and cataract removal performed by Ms. Mirna Belovari, and I am extremely satisfied with the entire experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided excellent service, ensuring that I felt comfortable and well-informed throughout the process.The surgery itself was surprisingly quick and efficient, which helped to alleviate any anxiety I had about the procedure. I experienced very little discomfort during and after the surgery, which speaks volumes about Ms. Belovari's skill and expertise.Overall, I highly recommend Ms. Mirna Belovari and her team for anyone considering eye lens placement or cataract surgery. Their professionalism and dedication to patient care made all the difference in my experience!

Do not use this company. Theya€™re rude (looking at you, Declan), they ignore emails, they promise call backs and never deliver. They tell you to join consultation calls and then never join them and never even apologise. No advertising here :)

Overall experience was very good and surgeon was brilliant to the point of saying my eyes were not ready to have surgery yet, maybe another 5 years. So it was cancelled BUT - be aware that they take a deposit, mine was a ?1000. THEY SAY IT TAKES 28 DAYS TO GET A REFUND, SHOCKING.
