I attended optical express Belfast 5th June 2025. I had an excellent experience. Procedure was over before I knew. All staff were very attentive and informative. I couldna€™t recommend it more.

Eye test and lens

Really appreciated the explanations given for each step with the eye test by Shiona, and lot of help finding the right frame by Yvonne. Was at St Enoch centre.

Optical express Lincoln helped me on my way to laser eye surgery at the Nottingham branch by offering all the advice and guiding me through the steps required. They also make a good cuppa and honest straight up conversation. Yes ita€™s expensive and Ia€™m not rich, but this was such a good decision to go ahead with the procedure.

Everyone one was really good with me at

Everyone one was really good with me at the Nottingham branch i was so nervous . Yet they took there time to talk with me and keep me calm . Only think I was disjointed in was the waiting time to go down 4hrs over my booked in appointment. But I do not retreat haven it done . Day 4 and my eye sight is so clear

Extremely Disappointed with Lens Replacement Surgery & Aftercare

My mother had lens replacement surgery at Optical Express and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. She paid over a ?5,000 and was promised improved vision and long-term results. Instead, shea€™s been left with halos, gritty eyes, and blurred vision a€” all of which have significantly affected her quality of life.Whata€™s worse is the complete lack of aftercare. She was promised follow-up appointments, treatment options, and support a€” yet every call was either ignored or met with empty promises of someone "calling back." Months have gone by, and her symptoms are dismissed as a€œnothing being wronga€ ? when clearly something is. It feels like she was misled into the surgery and then abandoned once the payment was made.This experience has caused a huge amount of distress, both physically and emotionally. For a private company that advertises premium service, the customer care has been absolutely appalling.We are now being forced to escalate this further a€” through official complaints, regulators, and possibly legal channels a€” just to get answers and proper care.I would strongly urge anyone considering Optical Express to be extremely cautious and to thoroughly research not just the procedure, but the realistic outcomes and level of support they offer afterward. Sadly, our experience has been nothing like what was promised.

They have a really helpful and welcoming reception team, and my optician Rebecca was very thorough and was happy to spent as long as was needed to resolve my slightly problematic issue.
