Right from the very first contact everyone I have spoken to has been so helpful and friendly. At my first visit everything was explained very clearly. I was very impressed with the range of super equipment they had. I had my cataracts removed at a different branch from where I had checkups, so I was nearer my daughter, and it was clear the communication between branches was excellent. The operation itself was pain free. I was quickly put at ease and all the staff so friendly and professional. I now have 20/20 vision and can drive again '?Ÿ˜…I wouldna€™t hesitate to recommend Optical Express to anyone needing cataract surgery.
From the first appointment to the last I had exceptional care. The outcome of my cataract surgery was even better than I expected. All staff were very caring and friendly. The aftercare I received was excellent and made the whole experience stress free.

13 months on from my first treatment Ia€™m still waiting for the All Clear to get glasses where the procedures have not produced 2020 Vision. Would definitely have benefited from having an allocated caseworker to move my case along 15 months is a little bit over what was projected.3 June 2025. Responded to the number left in Optical Express response to my review but whenever I have contacted head office their response has been the same they dona€™t know who is dealing with it. They are not available and will be emailed with no indication of response time back. Being polite and business like has not produced any positive responses so I am just left to Express my true feelings. No one at head office gives a damm. They are very good at saying they care and targeting their response to anyone who is interested in a new service but to those they have failed again and again there appears to be little if any hope - like it or lump it!!Cheers Optical Express you have totally destroyed my faith with youa€™re repeated broken promises

I had an urgent problem. They arranged an early appointment. I have seen the optometrist many times (alia). She is consistently excellent and thorough. Instills confidence. Very caring - excellent service. Will have laser treatment in 4 days.

Absolutely awful from start to finish at the Birmingham branch. Even my first visit I had my reservations as all they seem to wanted was to get me booked in, no personal touch, and youa€™re in the consultation for a long time!! After stupidly deciding to go with them, I then had to call them several times to pay my deposit, yes why am I chasing them, clearly not interested in my business, so agin red flag! So I thought Ia€™d give them the benefit of the doubt and wait to speak to the surgeon, and that I did and after speaking to the surgeon I cancelled my appt! again no personal service all he wanted me to do was sign the disclaimer! Red flag again! Then to add insult to injury I call to cancel and get my refund back, office manager said he would put the cancellation through and issue my refund, 7 days later hea€™d done neither!! Yet again I had to ring the Birmingham branch 3 times to ask someone what was going on with my cancellation as I was still receiving text messages to say my operation was going ahead after I had cancelled it!! And as if it couldna€™t get worse 28 days for your refund to go through!! Absolute disgrace!! Glasgow office (I think ita€™s the Glasgow office) have been amazing as ita€™s them who pick up the phone when Birmingham dona€™t, they certainly need to teach the Birmingham office a thing or two!! Pick some where else, therea€™s plenty more companies out there who want your business and can offer good service!
