They Made a Mistake a€“ Now I Need a Second Surgery.I had laser eye surgery at Optical Express Leeds city centre on 21st January 2025. My experience has been awful from the start and is still ongoing.Straight after the surgery, I was in severe pain for nearly three weeks. One of my eyes was blurry from day one. I went to multiple aftercare appointments at their White Rose branch, and every time I was told the blurriness would improve with time. But it never got better.After four months of being dismissed, they finally admitted the truth a€” the surgery didna€™t work properly and I now need to go through a second corrective surgery.This means Ia€™ll have to: a€ ? Close my beauty salon again a€ ? Go through another painful recovery a€ ? Lose more income and clients a€ ? Take more time off for pre-surgery checks, the surgery itself, and follow-up appointments a€” just like I did the first timeHow many more times will I have to go through this? This should have been done right the first time.To make things worse, we sent a formal complaint by email and have had no response at all. No apology, no support, nothing.Optical Express made a mistake and now Ia€™m paying for it a€” with my health, time, and income. I wouldna€™t trust them again, and I strongly advise others to stay away, especially if youa€™re self-employed like me.
