Review Time
I was selling an iPhone XR and was offered ?88 trade in value. The initial response came back with an offer of ?30 suggesting there were ‘deep scratches’ on the device - there were not. When I rejected the offer I was then offered ?50. I rejected this.I was then offered ?65. I received an e-mail saying they would ‘really like to purchase my device’. I asked for the value originally offered but was told this was too high and they would return my device. It has now been returned. This is clearly predatory buying offering a lowball price with false information in the hope that most people will just accept and move on.Then walking the price up each time with no rationale for why?Do not use.
Sent phone in after getting quote on line. They reviewed the phone and came back to me with a counter offer of less than half what they quoted stating they had found minor scratches on the screen. Which I found hard to accept as phone was used in a cover and case. On asking them to send phone back i got another 2 higher offers still nowhere near original offer. Got my phone back and mystified to where the scratches are. To sum up I wouldn’t recommend UR.
I decided to sell my iPhone 14 Pro and was offered ?448, I packed it well and paid extra for insurance as my daughter had had a bad experience with another company saying her device was damaged. It wasn’t when she sent it..Basically after examining my phone they said it needs a new battery ( life is at 82%)Also scratches on the screen and side . I filmed the phone before wrapping and sending / there was no damage to screen, maybe a slight scratch on side .. BUT the revised offer was ?170. ?278.00 less !!!!Really? I would not bother using this company it’s a CON Just seen a review after mine and it’s practically word for word what they said to me .. I will take it further if my phone comes back damaged as I have proof it had no scratches on the screen when sent. Update, I was contacted this morning by Lucy who was very polite and apologetic about my experience. I said I wouldn’t accept less than ?350 for my devise, she agreed this and the payment was made within 10 mins to my PayPal account . I’m not sure why the process is so difficult if you have a genuine good device they should and did in the end pay what it’s worth . Thank you Lucy for your help
Update - 30-04-2025Ur have now paid me for the second phone.I traded in 2 phones separately. After chasing payment, Ur eventually paid out for one citing the delay on a problem with their bank but no payment received for the other phone. Not answering emails.Looks like a small claims action needed Save yourself the hassle and avoid!
Rip off merchants. Quoted me ?185 for my phone, then said it had scratches and only offered 70. Rejected that, they offered ?85. Rejected yet again, and suddenly increased their offer to ?135 - still way under value.Complete scam merchants, will never use again
