The whole experience was excellent .The staff couldna€™t have been more helpful and experienced in every aspect from the initial eye test through to the surgical procedure and aftercare.I would recommend Optical Express to anyone who would like to have the freedom of perfect vision without the aid of glasses..
Very Disappointed a€“ Long-Time Customer Let DownAfter over 15 years of loyal service with Optical Express, Ia€™m incredibly disappointed with the decline in customer care, particularly at the White City (Shepherda€™s Bush) branch. I recently went to collect my glasses and was met with a lack of basic service. A new receptionist seemed unsure of the process, and after waiting 10 minutes, I was simply handed a box containing my glasses with the vague instruction, a€œTherea€™s a mirror over there if you want to try them on.a€ ?There was no optometrist or trained staff to ensure the glasses fit properly or to check the prescription accuracya€”something Ia€™ve always valued in the past. I even had to ask for a bag on the way out, which felt like an afterthought.Sadly, the attention to care and customer experience that once set Optical Express apart seems to have completely eroded. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. This is my 4th review over the past 2 weeks. no-one form the store has called

I had my first consultation for eye surgery. This involved a very thorough eye test. All options were explained very clearly. Staff were very knowledgeable and informative. I felt under no pressure to make any commitment and have come away with all the information I need to make a decision.
Looked after brilliantly, prior to, during, and after my cataract surgery. Everything was so well explained and the procedure on the day was over in no time. My eyesight is so much better. I wish I had done this sooner.
Lack of communication is the reason I have scored 3 stars. My experience, taken in for the lens replacement 3 hours after appointment time, with no communication regarding the delay. This caused some nerves apprehension and irritation between the waiting patients.Happy with final results though.

Had my replacement lense surgery on 10 of July at Southampton which was a very smooth and successful experience. If your thinking about having your eyes back to how they should be get the surgery done, ita€™s painless and your vision is 20-20 on the same day of the op. I went in at 11am and was out at 12.30 on my way home.Sight is a little blurry first 4-5 hours but you can still see, then after a nights sleep your eyes are HD and you can see so much better, ita€™s the best investment Ia€™ve ever done and I can honestly tell you it really is painless, no irritation in the eyes or soreness, feels like youa€™ve never had it done. No more glasses for reading or driving or watching tv, everything is clear and defined. So pleased about having my sight restored for the rest of my life.Thank you Optical Express
After an initial consultation for laser surgery I was told that lens replacement was the only option. This was around double the price of the laser surgery. So far so good but obviously disappointed about the large increase in outlay. I paid a significant deposit on the day and since have decided to wait and have further discussions. After more than a month of trying to have my deposit returned to me I am no further forward. Be careful if paying a deposit.

Ita€™s quite a daunting decision to make the step towards having anything done with your eyes but as soon as I arrived at Optical Express in the White Rose Centre I was given a very warm welcome and offered a cup of coffee and a biscuit.Then I met Kerry who was a very professional and captivating lady who carried out my full eye examination with her assistant Sofia, Kerry was very informative about the examination and lens replacement process.Kerry is a very interesting lady who told me all about her interests in sharks during and after my eye examination, I too have a great passion for most things especially sharks and fishing.
Had laser eye surgery at the Glasgow branch and it was a pleasure. I was kept well informed and any questions I had were answered. On the day of the surgery I was well taken care of and made as comfortable as possible.All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.Would highly recommend this branch to anyone and I will certainly be continuing to use them in future.
