Review Time
We received a standard roses in poor state and sent a photo to customer services. They replied asking us to do a bark test. Green is alive and Brown dead. It was brown in two places so we sent test result with photo (twice) and customer services have just completely failed to respond. We wouldn't mind d but how cheeky to ask you to perform a test and they simply ignore you!
I placed an order for a ?75 worth of plants on the 2nd June. I received a confirmation email, but no further update. The status of my order remained 'processing'.After 2 weeks I still hadn't received my order, or any further communication so emailed customer services. I received a standard response stating that at peak times, dispatch can take 10-15 working days and that any order that falls out of this timeframe will automatically be picked up and dealt with. I waited a further week (now certainly out of the published timeframe) and had still not received my order or any further communication. I sent another email to customer services and received no response at all. Its now almost a full month since I placed this order and I suspect I am not likely to receive it. Even if I did, we are beyond the planting time for some of the things I ordered!I am now raising a dispute with my bank to try and recoup my loss.I cannot recommend this company at all. There are many other plant and gardening suppliers who are able to process orders during peak season in a timely fashion and with more regard to customer service. Spend your money elsewhere.
Plant arrived dead. I raised this as an issue and they told me that they would offer a refund but only if I sent it back at my expense- Having read some of the reviews on here, I was not prepared to do so as I felt it was throwing good money after bad. Legally, this is incorrect- they are obliged to pay for this. I emailed them back but they have completely ignored me. Dreadful service
Ordered dahlia tubers on 8th June. Contacted Gardening Express on 23rd June as order hadn't been delivered but only received an automated response. No customer help line phone number available so starting to wonder if I've neen scammed. Requested a full refund today (04/07/25) as it's too late to plant dahlia tubers now, even if they miraculously arrive tomorrow. Was dissatisfied with my previous order as well. Asparagus crowns were sent far too early so had to keep them in the fridge for 2 months, then most of them died.
