Review Time
Placed my order for two plants on the 5th June, as of today (4th July) I have received nothing. After waiting for 21 days I requested to cancel my order and receive a full refund. I have sent multiple e-mails and also sent communication via their website - I have not had one single reply to my requests. No telephone number and no response via e-mails ! Paid via Credit card so have requested a refund via them and would encourage anyone who has had a similar experience and paid via C/C to do the same. Such a shame as they were a good company and I had received good service back in 2023 which was the last time I ordered from them. Something appears to have gone seriously wrong as their customer service is appalling ! It appears that they are deliberately ignoring any customer that has a problem or genuine query ! Do not order from this company under any circumstances ..... To say that I am highly disappointed would be an understatement !
Having bought from Gardening Express before I knew I was going to receive good service, but I didn't expect to receive such large healthy gorgeous plants I ordered 2 Salvia Amistad at a reduced price and could not believe the size of them, they were a good 4ft tall with beautiful flowers blooming They arrived well packed and watered, with no spilt soil. One very happy customer
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with Gardening Express was so poor that I feel compelled to share it. I placed a flower order on May 1st, 2025, expecting a timely delivery of fresh flowers. Instead, my order didn't arrive until May 30th, 2025 a?? a shocking delay of nearly a month for perishable goods. When the package finally arrived, the contents were in an abysmal state. Out of three roses, two were completely dead. Another type of flower had already finished blooming, making it impossible to enjoy. The lilies were clearly suffering from prolonged confinement in the box; they had grown excessively and, even now, over a month after delivery, they still haven't adapted well and are struggling to thrive. To add insult to injury, after I contacted Gardening Express about the dead roses, they asked me to perform a "bare root test" assessment and send pictures as proof. I went through the trouble of doing this, providing the requested evidence, but they never bothered to get back to me. This complete lack of follow-up after I'd gone to the effort of their request is unacceptable and shows a clear disregard for customer service. In summary, I received dead and dying plants after an unacceptable delay, and my attempts to resolve the issue were met with silence. I would strongly advise against ordering from Gardening Express if you expect fresh, healthy plants and reliable customer support. This was a truly frustrating and disappointing experience.
I'm only leaving one star as there isn't an option to leave less, if I could leave a negative, I would.Poorly packaged plants delivered to the wrong address, left outside in the pouring rain. Customer Services at Gardening Express are non existent, they don't care. Once your order's processed, you're on your own.I got these pants, eventually, after they'd been dumped beside a pile of junk in my neighbour's garden and left in the rain. Left so long in the rain that the bottom had fallen out of the biggest box, containing a tree, shrubs and plants. Most of what I received was dying, the rest was already dead. I contacted Gardening Express and got a reply the following day, saying they couldn't view some of my photos and to retake them and send them in a different format, so they could see various labels etc.. So I did. Never heard anything back, not a thing. I've contacted them half a dozen times since, still not heard a thing. They've got my money, I've got a pile of their dead plants. It would appear they're happy with that. Hey-ho, lesson learned.
