Thanks to Shdiya & Bobby!

I met with Shdiya & Bobby today for my consultation at Brightons (queens road) optical express. They were both professional and kind guiding me through the process with great ease. Shdiya was very helpful with instructions during my eye scans and Bobby was very informative and knowledgable for the second part of my consult. Thank you both - highly recommend.

I had multi-focal lens replacement Southampton. I can see so that is a great start. The eye surgeon spoke very few words and didna€™t have the greatest professional manner and the optometrist talked at me not letting me say anything. One of the nurses let me walk out with blood on my face and my partner saw it and spoke to reception about it. A nurse also just let me walk down the stairs without much guidance whilst I had one eye that I couldna€™t see out of and the other was blurry.Shout out to Sandra, the initial eye drop nurse, the practice manager and the person that took my feedback. Thank you your professionalism and niceness. I know that I was one of many patients that day, but my eyes are precious to me and I paid a lot for the service.My advice shop around and go to place where you feel you will get the best service - you are paying for it so you deserve to be treated well.

I was provided with wrong information

I was provided with wrong information which I can only assume was an attempt to extract more money from me. The a€˜optometrista€™ called Leanne. Told me I had developed cataracts. This had never been highlighted in any of my previous eye tests at other clinics. She told me that lens replacement was my best option because of this.. I have now been to 2 other clinics who both say no cataract is present. She also told me that the brand of lens known as a€˜pure seea€™ would provide zero risk of a€˜glarea€™ after replacement surgery. Again , 2 other clinics have told me this lens will only decrease the risk of glare, not eliminate it. She also told me that the only motivation to have lazer surgery rather than lens replacement would be the cost of lazer is less. Also, incorrect. She said lazer is just a bit less invasive but cheaper and thata€™s why people choose lazer. If you have the money you should go for lens replacement. In actual fact, for my age category in particular, lens replacement has much higher risks of retinal detachment than lazer, she never even mentioned this as a risk. Leanne told me that with lens replacement surgery there is less chance of developing glaucoma! In actual fact this would only apply to a very small percentage of the nation that have very small eyes. Not me who has an average size eye. The cost of replacement surgery for me was quoted a ?1500 more than lazer. The cost of the recommendeda€™pure seea€™ lens was a further a ?1000. I am absolutely disgusted that this conduct is allowed to exist. Patients and customers are reaching out to optical specialists to try and achieve the best guidance that is unique to their condition and this company is allowing its staff to out right lie to get a customer to go for the more expensive option. I will be complaining further. My advice is avoid these scammers like the plague

Life-changing - dona€™t hesitate!

Both my husband and I decided to go for multi- focal lens replacement earlier this year. From first appointment to last, the team, care and service at optical express were excellent. We both agree ita€™s one of the best decisions wea€™ve ever made, we now have better than 20/20 vision (I can even read the tiny writing for directions on everything now! '?Ÿ˜? ) if youa€™re considering this life changing procedure - then please dona€™t hesitate! Feel at least ten years younger in just over ten minutes!

I was suffering with my eyes

I was suffering with my eyes, booked a consultation, optical express offered me a wide range of options !!I chose a full both eye lense replacement.I was a little optimistic about this procedure !! I had surgery on the 4th of July 2025.what can I say vertualy no words !!Absolutely outstanding !! I could see clearly straight after surgery, 5 days post opp full 20/20 vision if not better..Multifocal lenses a€œwowa€ ? I cana€™t thank the eye surgeon & his remarkable team enough.Your eyes are everything.. your worldIf your struggling with your sight.. reach out to these professionals.. and see world as you should.Once. First eye appointment

I had my first eye appointment at the Optical Express St Enochs Centre today and I had a really pleasant experience. I saw Rebecca who did a detailed eye exam and was so thorough and explained everything in terms I could understand, she was also really friendly and kind. After that Alisha helped me find the right frame and walked me me through the pricing and addition al details - she was really patient and very friendly and helpful! Highly recommend these ladies and the branch!

multifocal lens replacement with side effects

Initially had multifocal lens replacements and was unfortunate to get side effects in both eyes which clouded my vision. Optical Express gave me ongoing checkups, care and lazer procedures for the following 12 months at their expense, finally leaving me with 20/20 vision and no requirement for reading glasses some 12 months later. I do notice some negatives though, as a golfer i dona€™t follow a ball as well or as far and i have to put up with glare or halos around lights, although these have got less noticeable over time.If youa€™re considering treatment make sure you understand the potential issues and limitations of lenses etc, but my overall impression of OE was of a committed and caring organisation.

Genuinely great service

Went for my free assessment yesterday .. Such welcoming and friendly staff, everything explained thoroughly and all questions answered. They give you such confidence and I have decided to go ahead with procedure under their care. Would recommend to others.
