Optical Express lures you in with promises of competitively priced laser eye surgery. After hours of tests and consultations, youa€™re suddenly told you need a special type of lensa€”costing a ?8,000.Once you reluctantly agree and go through another full day of testing, they confirm youa€™re suitable for surgery. But just days before the procedure, the surgeon says you now need the latest "Pure C" lens to reduce the risk of halosa€”without ever mentioning any change in price.Then, six days before the operation, they hit you with an extra a ?1,000 charge, claiming you agreed to this new lens.To me this looks like scam! This is the oldest con trick in the booka€”promise one thing, then switch it up when you're already committed. I found the whole experience manipulative and misleading.Not a company I would ever trust again.I have already provided my contact details so you could always contact me!

Great consultation with Larissa and Rebecca from the Melksham clinic. Took their time regarding a potential issue with my eye dryness which surprisingly was fine. Booked the laser eye straight away.

From start to finish was much better than anticipated. The people made me very comfortable and at ease through the whole process and especially the surgery. A pain free experience was what was promised and it was delivered , so cana€™t speak highly enough of everything.Lens replacement was a very anxious, exciting and exciting experience that I can truly say it was well worth it. I had ordered a pair of reading glasses in May I got a call in 7 days that they were ready to collect, I went to collect apparently they had made the incorrect prescription. I was then told they would correct this and would take a week. After 2 weeks and not receiving any phone call I called the store having been told a€˜Sorry not ready next week! a€˜ this went on for weeks no one returned my calls even though I asked the manager to call me but no call received. When I received a call after 5 week I was told sorry once again your glasses have been misplaced and will send off again! In total nearly 8 weeks. Absolutely terrible service and communication. If I could ZERO stars I would have !!!!!

I had been thinking about laser eye surgery but just hadna€™t looked into it. Then decided after a girls holiday and having to faff around with lenses and prescription sunglasses etc etc I booked in to the Belfast clinic in the hope I would be eligible! To my delight I was accepted for the LASIK and was going to be able to get it done and cleared in time for my family holiday with my kids.. ! With a prescription of -5.89 in my worse eye and -5.35 in my best and wearing glasses since I was 10years old I couldna€™t remember a time of going swimming etc and being able to see! On the day of the surgery I was understandably nervous but the staff were so reassuring with a few of the nursing staff having had the procedure done themselves and shared their experiences I felt much more at ease. The surgeon was lovely, it was all very professional and pain free. I woke up this morning reaching for my glasses and then realised I could actually see! Literally the first time in 25years Ia€™ve been able to read the news bannerOn the bottom of the TV screen without straining my eyes! And ita€™s been less than 24hours so things can only get better! Honestly i dona€™t know why I waited so long.. I still cana€™t believe it!

Iwona, Hamish and the team were friendly, welcoming, funny and patient. This made the consultation easy to get through, even if it takes a 2-3 hours to get through everything. But even with the timely consultation, it was done to a great degree of accuracy, wasna€™t rushed, and provided a lot of information. So all in all, the initial consultation was great and would recommend
