I live alone and Currys was the only company I found who removed old fridge freezers without being defrosted, which I couldn't do as it was in a cupboard.I was unable to order online, the system kept telling me something was broken, so I called to make my order and the young woman had the same problem but was eventually able to find a way to take payment.I ordered the only fridge freezer that fitted in my cupboard for delivery the next day. I did not receive notification that the day had been changed for the following day which I could not be at home for.I made numerous calls to check delivery and eventually was able to book for 5 days later. Meanwhile I lost a lot of food.When the fitters arrived they hadn't been told to remove my old Fridge freezer but thankfully I showed them my receipt and they completed the job. I was granted a refund ?30 transportation costs which was helpful.
It was nothing special, the price was 'middling' and someone did latch onto us once we were making buying signals. No pressure, that was nice, then again we were buying a sub ?200 TV so not a big deal. Our existing wall bracket looked rubbish, we returned and bought a new bracket a few days later, was a bit peeved to discover we would have received ?10 off if bought at the same time as the TV, it's important when you are on a fixed income.
