I walked into Currys to discuss buying a laptop. The assistant who latched onto me was a trainee (name noted) who couldn't stop yawning, spoke inaudibly, and added precisely nothing to the process of selecting my laptop. In the end I bought one that I'd been thinking about from the website the previous day, and I had to find it on my own phone because the assistant couldn't find it on her tablet (which appeared to be offline). She couldn't tell me anything about any machine other than what was on the label that I could read; she couldn't enter into any conversation about what my particular needs might be.Once I'd decided to go ahead with the machine I'd spotted for myself, we were then some way into the purchase process with a 'bundle' of products and services before I began to realise how poorly this would meet my needs, and I had to question the assistant closely to establish that although the bundle was a bargain if that was what you wanted, my money would be better spent on other items. This individual seemed completely inadequate for the task and it was only my wife's persuasion that stopped my walking out of the store to return another time, in the hope of securing a less clueless staffer. I only proceeded with the purchase due to previous experience of the convenience of the after-sales service. Currys - I bought from you *in spite of* your staff member; not because of her.
Now I understand why Amazon is killing their business. They will go extinct as they provide the worst customer service. I bought a vacuum cleaner from them today. It was faulty. I came to the store to return it. Guess what, surprise" you can't return it cause the sale is too recent, and we are closing so return tomorrow".
My delivery was exactly accurate, right on time. The technicians were polite accommodating, and really helpful. The service was very quick and I am happy. I would wholeheartedly recommend Currys and if you are buying a TV, I would recommend you have it fitted. (Don’t forget to purchase your brackets too, if you are fixing it to the wall. Thank you Matt (You know who you are), you did an excellent job
