I love going to Scarborough Open Air

I love going to Scarborough Open Air Theatre. You have a great view of the stage wherever you sit. Tom Walker was a brilliant support act and The Script were once again fantastic. Danny O'? ? ?Donahue is so talented and entertaining.

Couldn't go - industry shake up needed

Couldn't go. Why does the ticket industry refuse refunds. It's greed. Well done. You charge excessive transaction fees (your pennies costs convert to pounds... strange), and the customer just gets treated like garbage. Greed. Change the industry.... go on... be brave...

They are the worst

They are the worst! The customer service is appauling! I tried to upgrade my tickets to VIP by paying extra as and different customer service reps told me different reasons for not being able to upgrade. They told me they would get back to me with further investigation and never did!

Poor customer service when trying to

Poor customer service when trying to resolve missing booking in app, took multiple messages and social media posts over several months to resolve and then only 24 hours before event. A method to contact via telephone would have sorted much quicker

No souvenir ticket and Took 3 hrs to get out of the car park

Took 3 hrs to get out of the car park at the end, you will say not your problem but all the staff said is always a shambles with 2000 cars in a car park with no stewards to direct the cars and one gate as exit onto a tiny track road filing with cars from other car parks. You sell the tickets you should check the venue is able to host it. I also paid extra for the souvenir ticket, that never arrived, please send 2.

Great Music - shame about the Venue crowd management

The Duran Duran concert at Powderham Castle was excellent! Supported by Nile Roger and Chic who got the party started really well! However, it was our first time at Powderham Castle as a venue and I was really concerned actually. On arrival, went to the car parking which I had paid for and absolutely no one checked my car parking ticket!! There were thousands of cars parked in various fields and it looks like anyone could park anywhere without a ticket. Secondly, about the car parks - they were a long hike from the castle and performance area, anyone with walking difficulties must have found it really hard - especially if they don'? ? ?t have a blue disabled badge and pre-booked the disabled parking. I'? ? ?m fit and healthy and it was a long trek! But mostly, what I was shocked about (and the reason I only give 3 stars) is the way the crowds were handled after the concert had finished. Access to car parking ticket fields was along narrow walkways and when several thousand people try to all go the same way and get funnelled into a maximum width of 6 people across it caused bottlenecks and there was lots of standing around waiting to go through narrow openings, in the dark, may I add, on undulating grassy areas. Some people twisted ankles or fell over and because of the size of the crowd there was pushing from the back as more people piled in and we were squished together so close that was uncomfortable and awkward to be almost touching a stranger back with your nose due to pressure from behind. It took us one hour to get back to our car (for a 10 minute walk) and then when back at the car we waited nearly 45mins to actually get out into the road. All of the roads surrounding Powderham Castle are little rural lanes and village roads and these were completely at a standstill for another 45mins or so. All in all it took us over 1h30mins to drive the 25mins journey back to our accommodation. I would definitely recommend seeing Duran Duran, but would not recommend parking at Powderham Castle for an event, or even attending large-scale concerts there. I don'? ? ?t think there was enough stewards directing people and advising egress routes. Powderham needs to consider the safety of the crowds whilst exiting and then the safety of drivers trying to get out of the village. More planning needs to be done and routes put in place that can handle the numbers of people attending.

Festival Republic and Ticketmaster

Festival Republic and Ticketmaster worked beautifully together. We commented on how well organised everything was. You can tell the experience was built around the customer and for that we're extremely grateful. The gig was also phenomenal... That helps The only one star that's been removed is the fee's!!! It's online servicing .. the customer does the leg work so these could do with being reduced.

GREAT NIGHT OUT but outrageous bar prices

TICKET PURCHASE - online and fairly easy. Moved to my Google wallet in case Wi-Fi was patchy, which it was.PARKING - got a blue badge parking space nearby, which was free and well organised with friendly staff.ENTRY CHECKS - a little over the top, checking every handbag pocket and inside chairs, but didn't take too long to get in.WATER REFILL stations - didn't see a single one!SEATING - we wanted a relaxed experience so weren't going for the mosh-pit. Took our camping chairs so were restricted to being sat behind the sound desk, speakers and endless bins. Sound was good and we had 2 big screens to view.DRINKS - only one bar with huge queues and OMG what a rip-off! '? ?10 for a 175ml glass of warm wine!! Outrageous prices. '? ?6.20 for a 300ml can of warm cider!!!FOOD - not a bad choice; fish & chips, noodles, pizza, kebabs, loaded chips, churros, etc. After 6pm the queues were outrageously long (at least half an hour) and prices were high. '? ?13.20 for a small container of chicken and noodles. They didn't even give out napkins to wipe your noodle-splatted chin! It was hot and tasty. TOILETS - the usual portaloos, which to be fair still had toilet roll and hand sanitiser at 8pm. MUSIC - absolutely brilliant! KT Tunstall came on at 6.15, Alison Moyet about 7.15 and Simple Minds at 9pm. I'm adding that little gem of information because I emailed the promoters and asked for the timings (because I didn't want to miss the start) and was told they didn't know them!!! OVERALL - a great night with good friends, a chilled atmosphere, great music including some 80's bangers, but bloody expensive. GOOD TIP - on the way out of the park there is a spot on the main public pathway where you can actually see the big screens, so if you fancy it turn up with a picnic, grab a bench and enjoy the concert for FREE.You're welcome!
