Review Time
We took my mum, 89, for a flat viewing at Beatrice Lodge, Sittingbourne. Beatrice Lodge itself is a very nice retirement home, clean and well maintained with a very active programme of events and entertainment for the residents, but what made the viewing experience excellent was the lodge manager, Estie, who really could not have been more helpful and enthusiastic. I was very surprised to discover that Estie has only been there for 18 months, as she is very invested and is really working hard to make Beatrice Lodge work for all its residents. Estie demonstrates how much one person can bring to a role.
Khalid the manager made us feel very welcome on arrival and the room was spotless and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. We had a beautiful room overlooking the garden spacious cupboards and clean airy bathroom.The whole facility is well maintained and has a wonderfully welcoming air. We’ve stayed twice now and would love to come again (we’re from nz- so probably not for a while!)
My mum lived at Hamilton Court for 8 years and was extremely happy there. Sadly she has had move into nursing care recently, but we still have her apartment there. Hamilton Court is a lovely place very close to the centre of Neston. It is expertly managed by Pat, who has been the manager there for many years. Pat is very caring and compassionate and nothing is ever too much trouble for her. Pat has always been very kind to mum and is supportive to all of the residents. She goes out of her way to make sure that everyone is happy. When mum became poorly, she offered to do her shopping, visited her daily in her apartment and even now is checking in on her apartment until we decide to sell it. The residents lounge is very popular, with people meeting for afternoon tea and coffee on most days. Activities are arranged including meals out, fish and chip suppers, coffee morning and weekly bingo. I can highly recommend Hamilton Court, it is very homely and Pat will make you welcome.
My mother has recently moved in to the Mounts Bay Lodge, Penzance and couldn't be happier.The views from her apartment are spectacular. The premises is extremely clean with fabulous residents lounge area, library, terrace and there are activities organised every day. Help at various levels is on hand whenever its needed and the residents are friendly and sociable... Its like a high end hotel!Special mention to the Lodge manager: Mrs Bailey is exceptional. Everyone loves her, nothing is too much trouble.
I am a contractor doing a warden call upgrade currently at Ballard lodge in shepperton. I just wanted to say the manager at the lodge has been amazing to us and very helpful! She has been very accommodating and when we have needed something she has delivered quickly and efficiently! After speaking to other engineers it is well known that everyone appreciates her understanding and helpfulness. many thanks!!
