My second purchase from Thomann, most recent being a guitar and stand.. Harley Benton SC-Custom III Lemon Flame. Arrived when stated and promptly even though I had to wait for stock. The guitar on first examination and playing it looks, feels and sounds great when playing. On the second day of playing the nut securing the jack socket just fell off onto the floor, luckily I managed to find it. Aside from this QC issue the product is great, I wanted to know the string gauge for when I need new ones so I asked on their website chat portal, the staff was very helpful, I asked about giving feedback regarding the jack issue and was directed to email Thomann, which I did, here's why Thomann don't get a 5 which I would really have liked to have given;The reply to feedback didn't address the issue, while they acknowledged it should have left the factory with the nut tightened, Thomann went on to defend the QC and that it could happen with any manufacturer and that checking the jack should be part of normal instrument maintenance, while I agree on the latter should it be played for a while, it should not be shipped like that, 2 days after use bits should not be falling off full stop! - As Thomann website FAQ states;"Are the products checked before they're sent?.....Guitars and some other acoustic instruments like violins and double basses are an exception - before being shipped they are quality controlled by either our own qualified experts or by the manufacturer to make sure that you'll get a perfect instrument."Rather than be defensive over QC feedback, it would be more helpful if it was taken constructively and a point added in the checks made to guitars before shipping, problem solved.So if the feedback reply had been more positive regarding QC issues then I would have given a 5Sorry Thomann
Delivery, delivery, delivery guys. Big company, plenty of good professionals, but ..by choosing your delivery partner is part of your business face. There wasn't a single time that a parcel will arrive with one week later or even more. DHL is not a good choice. I told them that several times. Nobody is listening and care.
