I bought a paperclip necklace from Mene for $1840, hoping to get a durable and elegant piece of jewelry. However, I was very disappointed when one of the clips broke in less than 7 weeks. I did not do anything to damage the necklace, It was wore normally. I contacted Mene customer service, expecting them to offer me a repair or a replacement, but they basically told me to go find a jewelry store to fix it myself. They did not care about my satisfaction or their reputation. I think this is unacceptable for such an expensive and supposedly high-quality product. I would not recommend buying their chains, they are not worth the risk. You can find better quality and service elsewhere.

Mene uses fedex for shipping and has a terrible system in place. They required signature on delivery which is totally understandable, however they do not let customers choose a time frame. If fedex will come at a certain time and after a few attempts send it back to mene. And when we tried to arrange the delivery for Saturday, they wanted to charge us more money. So if you aren’t going to be home all day during the weekday, do not order from here, you won’t get your package.
Love Mene but also mixed on the under weight policy, especially the crafted items. I have had great customer service interactions, timely shipping, and overall craftsmanship is great. I have purchase 3 items from Mene and been happy with my purchases. The reason for the 2 star deduction is the under/over policy on the purchased price of an item. It states an item could be 0.5 grams under the purchased price for stocked items and up to 1 gram on hand crafted items. Both stocked items I purchased were close to .5 under and the crafted item was 0.9 grams under. At the current price, it’s almost $200 of gold that was paid for and not received. The policy does state this but to have all three items barely under the maximum under weight is a little suspect. Overall happy with my purchase but just beware you probably going to get short the maximum tolerance weight.
