I am writing this review to share with you my belief of the excellent support my 100 year old, but active, father is receiving at Bramble Lodge, Wallington Surrey, particularly from the manager, Sarah Rochford.My partner and I recently visited from Australia, to celebrate with the family our Dads 100th birthday. We stayed at the guest room at the lodge for 5 nights. This is my third visit in the last 3 years since dad moved into The Lodge 5 years ago. (I am grateful that both my sisters live close by and provide dad with his independant living requirements). I have been impressed at the facilities of the Lodge but, more importently by the care, attention and affection that Sarah displays with the residents and staff.Her attention to detail and organisational skills, her kindess and thoughtfulness, are so evident to my siblings and I. Such management characteristics contribute so significantly in helping to create and foster a safe, creative and engaging environment, a second home, that is so reassuring to my seblings and particularly for me living so far away. I am very grateful to Sarah's contribution in caring for my father and helping, so much, to provide such a supportive and reassuring environment for my dad in his twilight years
What a star Maureen, Estate Manager, is at Parkrise. I was without heating and she went all out to get it sorted for me. Phone calls, enquiries etc and she fixed it. Stuart, caretaker, also does a fab job. I've been here at Parkrise for 6 months and love it. It's safe, secure and has a great community.
Paula who is based at Russell Lodge, Fleet Churchill, GU51 has been nothing but helpful allowing access to properties and providing helpful information. The beauty with this review is that I work for a local estate agents firm in Fleet and Paula has been nothing but helpful and assisting with all clients questions and needs. A real credit to your company and site in Fleet.
I have lived in Orchard Lodge for over 18 months and our Lodge Manager Bill is very efficient, kind and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. In addition to coffee mornings and afternoon teas Bill organises a weekly quiz, aerobics and some singalongs. Many happy and enjoyable times take place at these events. I never feel lonely living in Orchard Lodge for everyone is made to feel welcome.
In December 2019 we moved into a 2 bed apartment in a Churchill Retirement accommodation in Hitchin Herts. As part of the agreement with Churchill Sales our Apartment was fitted with the top of their range carpet throughout. Since 2019 we have had the carpet fitters in because of bumps appearing in the carpet throughout each room in the Apartment. On the first 2 occasions the Fitters came and stretched the carpet in each room to remove, reduce the bumps. On their latest visit 21.01.25 they said that there was nothing further they could do to reduce the recurring bumps and accepted that there was a problem. As usual due to the continuing problem Churchill stated that this was out of warranty and nothing they will do, bearing in mind that we had a long period of COVID since moving in as well. Today 27.02.25 we are advised that the best the fitters can do is to come back and glue the carpet to the underlay to remove the bumps. We feel that we should not have taken the carpet offer from Churchill as they have now left in a lurch and neither Churchill and their carpet suppliers are taking full responsibility for the unsatisfactory situation we now find ourselves in with the carpet. In fact if we had known that Churchill and their suppliers would let us down we would never have bought the Apartment. We are now in a quandary as we don't know what the glue is going to do to both carpet and underlay and whether this action will actually resolve the situation throughout the Apartment. The upshot I would not recommend Churchill or its associated companies to other interested parties as they are very unreliable. Just so you are aware we are going to seek independent advice from a reliable local carpet suppliers to get an alternative view on this matter.
Having visited Emden House in Headington, Oxford, I have to say that the accommodation was great but also Karon was brilliant. Not only did she squeeze us in quickly for a viewing but for over an hour she took us around, explained so much about what is available and what she does for the other residents.The property was great but what I must admit, getting that feeling of support from Karon really helped.I’ll be honest and that helped my Mum make a very quick decision on her future and offers were being sent in immediately. I look forward to visiting her here a lot.
