SACHS LODGE TORQUAY I have lived at at Sachs Lodge for six years and have a lovely apartment. Churchill Living unlike the majority of retirement builders, appear to give a lot of thought to more individually designed apartments, not mirror copies of each other. We have various activities held in our coffee bar/lounge,where homeowners can socialise and enjoy the company of others. Nobody needs ever to feel alone. Our Manager Jo makes sure of that, expecially when one of us has been bereaved. Amongst many other things she has incredible computer knowledge, and can it seems solve any technical problems we may have, which is and has been a tremendous help to us. She shows great compassion when any of us are unwell, especially to those living alone. Churchill living has given me peace of mind security and new friends. Purchasing the apartment was effortless. The lodge manager is friendly and extremely efficient. The residents organise events regularly to which all are invited and which seem to be very successful. We could not have chosen a better place for our mother to live after she had to leave her home of many years.
The manager at Emmeline Lodge is outstanding. She listens well, is always friendly and extremely helpful, going above and beyond our expectations. When l was taken ill she alerted my family and emergency services, staying with me until they arrived. She supports the social aspects of living here by helping with events and celebrations. Her attention to health and safety is of high quality.
Dropped in without an appointment to enquire about properties and living in this type of housing, on behalf of my parents.I found the Manager (Estee) to be welcoming and knowledgeable. The building was clean, fresh and very well presented. Thanks to Estee I am now reassured that Beatrice Lodge would be perfect for my parents and will look to book a viewing of properties available.
To me our relief manager John Wakefield is the ideal person for this job. I only wish he was here full time as he is friendly, helpful, kind and efficient - everything you would want from a lodge manager. We love having him here at St John’s to look after us.
John Wakefield has been our relief manager at New Hall Lodge over the last few months and I can only say what a pleasant, efficient and professional man he is.Problems were sorted quickly and he responded to questions promptly when possible, if not john would come back with answers directly to residents.Any lodge would be happy to have him as manager
