Joined fiverr yesterday to find a freelancer for a small project. As the deadline is fairly tight I contacted 45 freelancers. 3 of them said they couldnt take the project on, I thanked them and never messaged them again.One didnt get back to me, and with another we started discussing the project and whether theyd be willing to take it on and how to go about it.At no point did I try to get their direct details, shared mine, do anything dodgy or anything like that. I shared a couple of small and simple image files with them for reference in the fiverr chat.Suddenly I get booted off midconversation and when I try and log back in I get a message that my account had been disabled. I send support an inquiry, befuddled, and this is what I get in response Your account was permanently disabled due to violations of our guidelines contacting other users with unsolicited offers, suggestions, phishing, malware, or anything unrelated to their Gigs or orders is prohibited.We had done no such thing, were a serious business looking for a contractor. Now imagine being in the middle of an engagement on fiverr, youve deposited funds, the deadline is looming, youre working with a freelancer and you get booted off. I think the initial mail actually said soz but all the money in your account is now forfeit.Luckily we never got to this point, but did dodge a bullet. This is not a serious platform, I suggest you avoid it unless your project is of a hobbyist nature or something and can risk such randomness.

This was my very first order on Fiverr. I came in with high hopes, ready to offer quality service, and excited to grow on the platform. I completed the job exactly as the buyer requested transferring collections and updating stock on their Shopify store. Every step was confirmed by the buyer before I proceeded.After delivery, without warning or feedback, the buyer canceled the order and left a 1star review. I was shocked. I reached out to Fiverr support immediately, hoping they would at least review the case. But I received no help. No reply. No investigation.Its heartbreaking to be treated this way on my very first project. I followed all the rules, did everything right, and still got penalized. If Fiverr doesnt protect honest freelancers, especially new ones, how are we supposed to grow?Order numberFO72E1C9A0847Freelancers are the foundation of this platform. We deserve fairness and at the very least a response.

When you look at it, Im a new member, but Ive been successful in all three of my gigs. However, I think Fiverrs algorithm for promoting new sellers works a bit slowly. Even though there are programs like Kickstarter, based on comments on Reddit and similar platforms, people seem to feel that they dont get much value from those programs either.
