I have had a generally positive experience as a seller on Fiverr. However, I would like to suggest improving protections for sellers, especially in cases involving fraudulent activities that lead to unjust refunds. Strengthening these measures would greatly enhance trust and fairness within the platform.

Though Fiverr claims to be a good website for freelancers, it is actually a fertile ground for Nigerian scammers. Someone posts opentowork on LinkedIn, that John Smith contacts you to open a Fiverr account and get in touch with Jane Doe, who offers to revamp your cover letter and CV, you show them to her and invents an excuse to manipulate you into thinking why yours is currently st. She charges excessively for a revamp and couple daysweeks later, another guy then offers job posting services and also invents excuses to charge you excessively for mailings, etc. Already reported them to FTC and deleted my Fiverr account. Never again am I using Fiverr.

Fiverr is a wonderful platform and usually goes well I have used it for the past 4ish years. But when I eventually had an issue with a seller. I wanted a refund and when I contacted support they told me Work it out with the seller So I tried to and the seller did not want to offer a refund. So the works I received were completely unusable. So I did a chargeback. Well if you dont read the terms of use like no one does. You will find out that you will have your account restricted for 60 days. Which means you cannot order anything and once your current orders finish you are locked out from messaging people. I contacted support to see if they will offer me protection and get me a refund. They claim exactly We cannot look into the situation farther until the chargebacks are resolved So then I proceed to ask can you look at my situation because If I cancel the chargebacks I cannot restart the same case. So four years and over 20k spent. They refuse to help me. So I have moved to upwork and have messaged the sellers I had good experiences with and they are willing to work directly with me. So I do come out the other end. This review is to help those who are looking at this website so they can be prepared. Hope this helps.
