What a beautiful place avonbank lodge is in Newbury.its kept spotless inside and the grounds outside the area is flat and close by the town which my aunt loves has so easy for her to get out and about.iys run by fabulous management Mrs Amanda Williams who looks after the lodge and makes sure they are happy and their needs be .
We have recently stayed in the guest suite at Mill Green Lodge in Witham whilst moving my Mum into her new apartment. It was the most relaxing experience following a stressful and emotional few days. The suite was immaculate, bedding beautiful, all of my worries and concerns faded away having settled Mum into her new life. The bathroom was faultless, and thank you for providing this stay option over the moving in and settling in period.Ann, the Lodge Manager has been charming, very helpful and efficient, going through all of the important hand over points in detail. She is the perfect person for the job. The presentation of the Lodge and its central areas, including the refuse room is tip top under Ann's management, well done, its a YES from me!!!
I moved into Passfield Lodge last June, not really knowing if I would enjoy living there. I needn’t have worried, I felt settled from the first week. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, especially the Lodge Manager, Rebecca, who is very efficient and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, she makes sure that the Lodge is a really good place to live.
Our scheme was bought by Churchill Estates Management about a year ago in 2024. The organisation seems to be in two parts. Central office is efficient, polite and friendly. At site and area level however, things are very different. I sense a culture of complacency and condescension, and a general lack of respect towards owners. I have two main areas of concern. The first is communication where at site/area level owners' legitimate concerns are either dismissed or ignored, emails are seldom acknowledged or answered, and information is patchy or non-forthcoming. Although I have not raised any, I understand that formal complaints cannot be escalated beyond site level. Second is a worrying opaqueness in CEM's business processes. Ancillary services such as the alarm system are provided through wholly owned CEM subsidiaries and while these costs seem competitive, the scope is steered to what CEM can provide so there is a sense of buying from 'the company shop'. At site/area level decisions seem to be based on expediency rather than best practice and value for money is questionable. As it is the owners' money that is being spent this is of particular concern for me.As part of the buy-out the existing site manager transitioned to CEM, and initially the relationship between owners and CEM was relatively positive. Now there is a new manager, one appointed by CEM the relationship has deteriorated significantly.
I moved into the new Park Rise development about a month ago.The Estate Manager, Maureen, is always on hand help with any issues or to provide any info to us newbies, and has been extremely helpful and accommodating to both myself and my family whenever they visit. As I have reduced mobility, both she and Stuart - the on-site ‘man-who-does’ - have also been very understanding and helpful in those times when I need a little extra assistance.Between them they’ve got the development as a whole humming along and looking lovely.
Suzanne is a credit to this company. The residents all love her and the reason I always stay in Bechers Court guest room. All new bedding and a new water heater. Big telly on the wall and lots of choices of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Wouldn't even bother looking for a hotel now.
I have been visiting a resident at Park View Lodge in Faversham every week. She relocated to the area two years ago and has been extremely happy in her new home since. It's really well run and has both a cozy and uplifting atmosphere. It's a small block of nicely designed flats in a great location, directly opposite the park and a five minute walk into the gorgeous town. Park View Lodge has a lovely community feel to it. Cormac, the manager, is really friendly, takes an interest in everyone that lives there, welcoming to visitors; he also gets things done and has a great sense of humour. If my mum lived in the area I'd recommend for her.
I have visited Manor Park at Ruddington a number of times now to see my parents and have enjoyed every stay. Lindsay, the Lodge Manager, is always welcoming, well-informed and always has time for a chat. The Guest Suite is like a mini home from home, warm, comfortable and clean, and I can't wait to visit again in March.
A very pleasant experience from our first visit to the sales advisor to help after we moved in. Throughout the whole process we were treated professionally and with kindness and in a friendly manner. Nothing was too much bother for them. Thank you
