Spicer lodge is a fantastic retirement complex offering independent living and a lounge for socialising if need be ideal for single people or couples to make new friends Marie the lodge manager is fantastic very welcoming too always happy to help and having the lodge manager there is reassuring for family members also knowing that your relatives are in such a lovely environment !
We have been living here at Parkside Court for three years now: We find the building extremely welcoming and the flats are very comfortable and cosy. The facilities within the building are also good like the laundry, guest flat and the communal lounge. The transportation from the building is also very convenient and goes down into the main town for the shops and other transport like rail. The gardens and windows are well kept and clean. As far as the House Manager is concerned, Ms. Liz, is excellent. She is always there for us when we need her and is very helpful and courteous which makes a big difference. Overall, we are glad that we chose to live here.
Stayed two nights at Lockyer Lodge in Sidmouth. Clearly a much loved lodge. Immaculate kept, very clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable and the room was pristine. Everything in the lodge was well kept from the lounge to the patio. Full marks to the lodge manager.
I moved into Stokes Lodge nearly 2 years ago and Lilly is the 2nd Lodge Manager for me. I have to say that Lilly is brilliant. She is very approachable and friendly and she interacts very well with everyone, and has a great sense of humour (not unlike my own ??).The facilities here are very good and Lilly ensures everything continues to work as it should.Anyone thinking of moving to a retirement apartment within easy walking distance of a town centre, should seriously consider Churchill and Stokes Lodge.
