Mounts Bay LodgeI moved in to Mounts Bay Lodge in March 2025. My flat has stupendous views over the Wharf Street tidal dock on. one side, and New Town Lane on the other. It is large and beautiful and I am extremely happy here, learning to get to know the other residents, and to fully appreciate the wonderful job done by Kath Bailey (and her husband Mark) in looking after us all, going far beyond the call of duty in their helpfulness and constant good humour. There are lots of communal events - so far I have participated in the weekly coffee mornings, sing-songs, and gentle exercise groups - and occasional birthday parties, fish'nchip Fridays, memorial events, fund-raising events (notably bingo!).On a practical level I make use of the lovely cleaning help Emma Waldron; and have also (with less pleasure!) tested the Care facilities, having had to summon help when I took a fall in my room and needed a visit to A + E. There is a superb recycling room, and a library that I have volunteered to help organise. After 3 months I feel totally at home here, and would never want to move. Penzance too is a lovely little town with plenty to explore: so far I have joined the Morrab Library, drunk good coffee at the Lido, seen films in the Newlyn Filmhousse, and joined Penlee Gallery Friends and the Arts Society West Cornwall and attended events there. What more could an 87 year old womaan hope for?!Well, I do have at least 3 aspirations: I hope to visit St Michael's Mount; I would like to take a trip to the Scillies and back one calm day on the Scillonian; and (a big ask!) I would like to take one of the adventure trips round the coast looking for bird and marine life. It's good to look forward to things!Celia Larner
Jubilee Lodge, Fleet:My parents moved into this address about 2 years ago, and have settled very well after a significant ‘downsize’ & lifestyle adjustment. The accommodation is outstanding & the living environment likewise.Tracey, the premises manager, has consistently provided a 1st class service and balances the essential managerial role with an extremely welcoming, positive, supportive and helpful personality.More recently both my parents have been experiencing different medical needs (requiring surgery and a hospital admission simultaneously!)Both my brother and I live several hours away and have benefited hugely from Tracey’s helpful and ‘can do’ attitude. Communication has been smooth, efficient & effective and our recent short notice (& extended) visits have always met with positive support & helpful advice.I highly recommend these premises to anyone considering a move to this type of living.
Our friends have lived in the Deal premises for a couple of years now. It is a great location, close to the seaside and walking distance to the high street shops and supermarkets. Very well maintained and beautiful garden. The home manager, Sharon, is a very lovely lady, always available to help and supports the residents in any way that she can.It is really well laid out inside, especially in the communal areas. The domestic staff are phenomenal, they keep the premises really clean, especially the bathrooms.
As a contractor visiting Sachs Lodge I feel I should leave a review for what is a very well run property.Jo, the Manageress is always on the ball and has everything running to a T at this property. She is always polite and always smiling. Our invoices are paid on time and doing work for Sachs Lodge is always a pleasure!Keep up the good work
The whole experience of buying an apartment at Charrington Lodge was made easy by Karen Hills who spent much time explaining the process with absolutely no pressure. We knew that we had made the right decision to purchase the property.Once we had moved in we found the House Manager, Tina Elmes, equally charming and helpful. Tina goes out of her way to assist in any way that she can and helps all the residents with any questions.
Built in 2018 have lived here 6 years. Good location, buses, doctors, shops and park all local. The building is well maintained and secure. We have an excellent manager Monday to Friday who is professional. friendly, and knowledgeable. The indoors, garden and patio areas are all well maintained. I feel very fortunate to reside in this lodge i call home.
Moving to Chelmer Lodge was the best thing to happen to me after my husband died; it’s so central to the town and railway station and I’ve even joined Essex County Cricket club. We have had a few disastrous managers but our present one is fantastic and NOTHING is too much trouble for her.
I would like to thank Sarah, Lodge Manager at Hale Lodge, Littlehampton for all the help and assistance she gave to my late Mum whilst she lived at Hale Lodge. I would also like to thank Sarah for all the help, assistance and support she gave to me and my family after my Mum passed away and during the ongoing sale of the property. She is a credit to Churchill Estate Management.
Hi. My name is Steve K. I am a semi professional entertainer and for several years I have been singing at many such places in the Sefton area of Merseyside. I wanted to make a deserved special mention for the manager residents and owners of Beechcroft Maghul. I have visited / performed at Beechcroft several times , most recently in December 2024. It is a truly wonderful environment with an amazing happy friendly atmosphere and is by far my favourite venue to visit. It is clear to see that the residents feel truly at home and well looked after and they clearly are. The atmosphere is truly warm hearted and welcoming. It is tangible as soon as you walk in. One of the reasons is very noticeable. They have an amazing truly caring manager called Kerrie. Throughout my performance each visit, I observe her going around to speak to every individual. She really cares just like they are her family and it shows. The rapport between them is a blessing to witness. having visited many similar establishments ...I can honestly say . Beechcroft is EXCEPTIONAL. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of moving to such accommodation . You could not move into a nicer caring clean place with a fab manager. Looking forward to my next visit, x
