In response to endless advertising, I responded to an ad claiming free consultation for lens replacement, something I am keen on. These consultations are absolutely NOT free and you are immediately charged a ?50 to book an appointment. I booked an appointment, then realised I had double booked myself (I am post stroke so such mistakes are unfortunately commonplace with me), so called back within 20 minutes - they charged me another a ?50 to move the appointment. I called back so quickly that moving the appointment could not possibly have cost them anything or resulted in a loss. This is a company of bandits, and I was so angered by this that I took the decision to cancel the 2nd appointment because under no circumstances could I agree to any quote for the lens work that they might have offered. Give this company a wide berth, they are nothing short of muggers. I SHOULD have gone to Specsavers!
