Used Rias home and contents insurance for several years without any claims or issues only to receive a letter prior to renewal saying they would not be offering renewal due to "details now falling outside their insurers criteria".There have been no changes as far as our property,the occupants or cover requirement are concerned so their refusal to renew is unacceptable in our opinion when they were more than our happy to accept our previous payments. As a consequence we have obviously been using the various internet online platforms for an alternative insurer only to find they ask if you have ever been refused insurance or renewal which of course you must answer truthfully to avoid isssues in the event of a later claim.Unfortunately the unfair Rias practice results in many normally competitive insurers declining to quote and those that do have very high premiums because they are specialist insurers.Would have given zero stars if available.
